In the days of having the cat “Lucky”, every day is filled with surprises and warmth, and it has already become an indispensable part of my life. The greatest wish in my heart is that my dear Lucky can always be healthy and happy, accompanying me through the long years.
On the eighth day since Lucky came to my home, an interesting little thing happened. In the morning, I fed it chicken breast, and it ate with relish. But at noon, when I gave it cat food mixed with canned food, this little guy was not happy. It seemed to be in a fit of pique and didn’t eat a bite. It tucked its little paws and got under the cabinet. Its wronged expression made me feel both 心疼 and amused. Throughout the afternoon, it didn’t feel like coming out to play, as if it was still sulking about what happened at noon.
However, Lucky is actually a cat that is easily satisfied. Any random rope or branch can make it have a great time and be happy for a long while. I remember when I went for a walk last night and saw the willow trees. I suddenly had an idea and thought of breaking off a willow branch to bring back for Lucky to play with, since there was no cat teaser at home yet. So, my dear Lucky happily got the first treasure in its cat life – that willow branch. Of course, before giving it to Lucky to play with, I carefully checked if there were any insect eggs on the willow branch to ensure its safety. Watching it happily playing with the willow branch, jumping up and down, my heart was also filled with joy.
Time flies. In a blink of an eye, it’s August 8, 2020, and Lucky has been in my home for almost a month. But it feels like it has been in this home for a very long time. It seems that there has never been a strange stage between us, and we were close from the very beginning. Now, the little guy is gradually revealing its “split personality” traits. Sometimes, it is both obedient and clingy. It will quietly snuggle beside me and rub its little head against my hand. Its sweet appearance makes my heart almost melt. But sometimes, it is a bit crazy, jumping up and down in the house and being very naughty. For example, it will suddenly rush from one room to another, or bounce around on the sofa, making me feel helpless and amused at the same time.
Lucky also has some special little hobbies. It particularly likes to study my iPad. From time to time, it will move closer and stare at the screen curiously. Sometimes, it even nibbles on the iPad, as if exploring this novel thing. Looking at its serious little appearance, I really don’t know whether to be angry or laugh, and I can only carefully protect the iPad to prevent it from being damaged by Lucky.
There was also a time when it made a very funny move, and I recorded it. In the video, it looked like a “cat eating a person”, and that comical scene makes me burst into laughter every time I watch it. These behaviors of Lucky have made our life more interesting and colorful.
During the time of getting along with Lucky, it has brought me endless joy and warmth. It is like a little angel, healing my heart in its unique way. I am also gradually getting to know its preferences and personality, and trying my best to provide it with a comfortable and safe living environment. I know that in the days to come, we will experience more stories together, with laughter and maybe a few small troubles. But in any case, I will always be by its side, taking care of it and loving it. Because in my heart, Lucky is not just a cat but also my family member and the most precious treasure in my life. May my dear Lucky always be healthy and happy, growing up carefree.
