In my life, the arrival of Yuanbao is like a surprising adventure, adding countless colors and joys to my originally plain days.
Yuanbao is now more than one year old and has grown into a handsome little cat. Especially those beautiful eyes of his seem to hide the stars and the sea, and people will be deeply attracted at the first glance. Considering the cold weather when going back to the countryside for the Spring Festival, I specially bought two lovely pieces of clothing for it. Imagining how it will look in the new clothes, my heart is full of anticipation.
Yuanbao is an extremely obedient, clingy, and gentle little guy, with a bit of a lazy trait. I still remember when he first arrived home, he would howl restlessly. But as soon as I reached out to stroke him, he would immediately quiet down and purr, looking very affectionate, as if we had known each other for a long time. Moreover, his living habits are very reassuring. He eats, poops, and pees normally, and there is almost no stress reaction that I was worried about, which makes me feel relieved.
Just after one night, Yuanbao became extremely dependent on me. Wherever I go, he will follow closely and act coquettishly to ask for hugs from time to time. If I don’t hug him, he will howl loudly. His pitiful and cute appearance makes it impossible for me to refuse. Now, he has skillfully learned to climb onto my lap and lie down, enjoying the warm company time. At that moment, I can truly feel his trust and dependence on me.
Speaking of Yuanbao’s name, it was actually thought up by the cat’s father. At that time, I really couldn’t think of a cooler name to refute, so I had to accept it obediently. Yuanbao came to my home on November 12th. In order to let him adapt to the new environment better, I learned online that it is easier for a cat to adapt when it is put in a cage when it first arrives home. So I specially bought a three – layer cat villa.
In fact, at first, I planned to buy a cat during the Spring Festival because I would have relatively sufficient funds at that time. After all, I was just a workplace novice with a salary of only one or two thousand yuan. However, in early October, I just casually consulted my brother and wanted to make some preparations in advance. Unexpectedly, my brother bought a shaded British Shorthair cat for me without hesitation. My brother had bought a shaded British Shorthair and an Alaskan Malamute from that cattery before. He said that the cats there had good appearance and were reliable. Although I felt a bit embarrassed, I decided to pay him back when I got my year – end bonus during the Spring Festival. In this way, I unexpectedly got Yuanbao.
Before Yuanbao arrived home, I started a crazy shopping spree, including a cat litter box, cat litter, cat food, canned food, nutritional cream, hairball remedy cream, a cat cage, a pet bag, and so on. I wanted to prepare all the things he might need to make him live comfortably in this new home.
Yuanbao’s arrival beside me was really a bit of a coincidence. The kitten that the boss originally prepared for me caught a cold and got sick when the temperature suddenly dropped in early November. The boss was worried that the kitten would have an accident due to stress reaction in the new environment, so he brought another healthy kitten from the same litter, which is now Yuanbao.
Yuanbao also has some interesting little quirks. Whenever I eat something, he will stare at me closely and keep howling, looking extremely greedy. But I don’t dare to give him human food casually, for fear that it will affect his health. I heard that cats like to smell feet, but Yuanbao doesn’t seem to be interested in this. I also made two boxes by hand before. I thought he would like them, but he only played with them for a short while.
Looking at the photos of Yuanbao’s siblings from the same parents (I actually “stole” these photos from the boss’s WeChat Moments, and one of them is my brother’s cat), I can’t help imagining that Yuanbao will also grow up to be as handsome as them in the future. I believe that Yuanbao will definitely not fall behind them.
Yuanbao, my lovely little cat, you are a precious gift bestowed on me by heaven. In the days to come, I hope to always accompany you, witness every moment of your growth, and spend more wonderful times together, making this special emotion between humans and cats deeper and deeper.
