In the world of cats, each cat has a unique personality. My British Shorthair shaded – tipped sister, Bubu, is extremely petty and vindictive, which has left a deep impression on me and added a lot of special colors to my life.
As the weather gradually turned cold, I thought of adding some warmth to Bubu, so I carefully selected a pink sweater for her. I thought she would happily accept this winter gift, but unexpectedly, the moment I put the sweater on her, she seemed to become a different cat. She kept wandering in front of me, meowing urgently. Her expression and meows seemed to be protesting loudly, “Hey, litter – box cleaner! Take this pink crap off me right now!!!” Her dislike for this sweater was vividly demonstrated. It turned out that she didn’t like the “warmth” I carefully prepared for her.
From then on, as long as I didn’t put that sweater away properly, a series of interesting and funny things would happen. Whenever Bubu saw that sweater, it was as if a certain anger switch had been triggered. She would immediately rush over, scratching and biting the sweater, as if conducting a severe “trial” on it to vent her dissatisfaction with this sweater. Looking at her little look full of “hostility”, I really didn’t know whether to be angry or laugh. If it weren’t for her being so cute, I would really be at a loss because of her willful behavior.

On January 3rd, I decided to update Bubu’s daily life. Recently, she has had a new hobby. She especially likes to stay on my back or shoulders. She looks like she is imitating the majestic Sesshomaru in the anime. Every time I sit down or bend over, she will nimbly jump up and find a comfortable position to stay steadily, as if that is her exclusive territory. Sometimes, she will lie quietly on my back, sticking her soft little body tightly to me, and from time to time rubbing her head against my neck. The warm touch and affectionate actions make me feel her deep dependence on me. And sometimes, she will move restlessly on my shoulders, as if exploring the surrounding world. Her little paws gently grab my clothes, for fear of falling. Her cautious and curious look is really extremely cute.
These behaviors of Bubu, although sometimes making people feel that she is a bit willful and petty, mostly make me feel her unique charm. She doesn’t hide her emotions towards things she doesn’t like at all, and she is full of enthusiasm for things she likes, such as the “adventures” on my back and shoulders. Every move of hers seems to be telling the story in her little world, and I am fortunate to be the witness and participant of this story. In the days of getting along with Bubu, I have deeply experienced the complex emotions and rich personalities of cats. She is not just a pet but also a close partner in my life. Her joys, sorrows, anger, and happiness all touch my heart. I look forward to Bubu continuing to maintain her uniqueness in the future, bringing me more unexpected joy and warmth, and let us create more beautiful memories together.
