My Gentle and Lovable Cat, Miemie

My Gentle and Lovable Cat, Miemie

In my life, Miemie is a special presence. She is a silver shaded – tipped folded – ear cat sister. When she came to my home, she was already a “big kid”, less than one year old, but pregnant. Initially, she was fostered in my home by her previous owner. I took good care of her throughout her pregnancy. On the day she gave birth, the previous owner completely abandoned her, so Miemie officially became my family member.

Since then, we have spent more than two months together. During these days, I deeply feel that Miemie is so gentle. Every morning, when she senses the movement that I am about to wake up, she will always run to my bedside as soon as possible and make short “mie – mie” sounds. After I searched on the Internet, I learned that this is her way of greeting me, as if she is softly saying, “A new day has begun, master!”

The cow cat is full of energy all day long, jumping up and down, while Miemie appears much more calm. However, under her seemingly calm appearance, every small detail reveals her love for me.

Miemie is also a real little glutton. Whatever I eat, she will immediately come over, her little nose constantly twitching, sniffing the aroma of the food eagerly, looking forward to tasting a couple of bites. Several times, I found her secretly stealing sweet potatoes and pawing at the chicken wings on my plate. Her greedy appearance is really hilarious. Her appetite is twice that of the cow cat. She is really a “big eater” and eats a lot and poops a lot. As soon as she sees food, she will follow me while meowing, as if saying, “Master, I want to eat too. Give me some!”

When I am cleaning vegetables or cutting fruits in the kitchen, I often spend a long time there. And Miemie will quietly sit at the kitchen door, silently accompanying me. Similarly, when I am in the bedroom, she will come to see me from time to time. As long as I gently touch her head, she will purr contentedly and then slowly return to the living room. This is because she has to take care of her children and is also worried about me, so she can only shuttle back and forth between the two, expressing her concern for me and the children in her own way.

As the kittens gradually grow up, Miemie’s burden becomes lighter. She no longer needs to keep a close eye on the children all the time. At this time, she returns to her original appearance. She will follow me wherever I am in the house and is not willing to leave me for a single step. When I call her, although she doesn’t raise her head to respond, her gently swaying big tail seems to tell me, “I know, master. I’m here!”

The days spent with Miemie have made me deeply understand what it means to be treated gently. Her gentleness is like the gentle breeze in spring, gently blowing across my heart, making my heart extremely soft. She silently accompanies me and cares about me in her own unique way, making me feel endless warmth and love. In this noisy world, having such a quiet and gentle little guy by my side is really an extremely happy thing. I will also cherish every moment with Miemie more, give her more love and care, and let her live happily in this home.
