In my warm little world lives an extremely special cat. Its name is Dough. Dough’s gentleness and good temper often make me doubt whether it is really a cat. After all, it doesn’t even have the simplest skill of scratching people. It is simply the “peace envoy” among cats.
Dough has not been sterilized yet. Whenever it is in heat, it will stare blankly out of the window, with a glimmer of yearning and confusion in its eyes. Sometimes, it will do some actions that make people laugh. For example, its little genitalia will protrude, and it will lick itself on its own. And I, sometimes a little bit naughty, can’t help but reach out my hand and then quickly take out my phone to record these interesting moments for it. Surprisingly, Dough’s obedience is not only reflected in not scratching people. It doesn’t even scratch the sofa. Even during the heat period when its emotions are prone to instability, it has no behavior of destroying furniture at all. It doesn’t even bother with the cat scratching post, as if it has no concept of “destruction” at all.
Dough’s meow is also unique. While other cats always meow “meow meow meow”, its meow is as gentle as that of a lamb, a soft “baa baa baa”. Every time I hear its call, my heart seems to be gently stroked by a soft hand and instantly becomes extremely tender.
Dough also has a very charming habit. It likes to strike unique poses. As long as it sits and leans against something, it will start licking its fur on its own. Its appearance is like an elegant dancer showing off her charm on the stage.
When it comes to Dough’s preferences, yogurt is definitely its favorite. As soon as I take out yogurt from the refrigerator, no matter how sleepy it is at that time, it will instantly force itself to perk up. Its eyes shine with eager light, and it will run to me as fast as possible, circling around me and making urgent “baa” sounds, as if to say, “Master, give me a taste quickly. I love yogurt so much!”
Dough is very clingy. It is like my shadow. Wherever I go, it follows. If I forget to close the bedroom door at night when I go to sleep, when I wake up the next morning, I will definitely find it sleeping soundly beside me. Its cute appearance makes people can’t help but want to gently stroke it.
However, Dough’s biggest characteristic is its gluttony. It is simply a “greedy cat” itself! Once, after I ate spicy crayfish and hadn’t washed my hands yet, it came over and licked my hand. After a while, I found that it touched its ear root, and that part turned red. I was very worried at that time, for fear that its little bottom would hurt after eating something spicy. Even so, the next time it encounters the temptation of delicious food, it will still rush forward without hesitation.
Dough also has many “shameless daily routines” that make people laugh and cry. Although it is a male cat, sometimes the poses it strikes are not reserved at all and often make me laugh. For example, sometimes, its casual and bold poses completely disregard its “image”. And when Dough hasn’t taken a bath, it gets a bit dirty, and even a certain part has turned black. Even when I take a photo of it with beauty filter, I still feel that I should cover it up for it. After all, in my heart, it will always be that cute and charming cat.
Dough’s existence has filled my life with joy and surprises. Its gentleness, its gluttony, its clinginess, every characteristic is deeply imprinted in my heart, making me love this unique cat even more. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with Dough in the future and witnessing more of its interesting moments.
