My Adorable Silver Tabby Cat

My Adorable Silver Tabby Cat

On countless sleepless nights, I always subconsciously reach out to stroke the silver tabby cat beside me. Feeling its soft fur, my heart gradually calms down. At this moment, in this equally sleepless midnight, I decided to share the story between me and it with you.

As a senior Weibo user, having a pet of my own has always been my dream. Whether it’s a lively and lovely dog or a soft and cute cat, I love them all with all my heart. Once, I used to follow bloggers like Xiaomajia and Guost to share the daily life of their pets every day. I stroked cats through the screen, immersing myself in the joy brought by those cute pets. Looking at the naughty or cute appearance of the cats on the screen, my desire to have a cat of my own became stronger and stronger.

Finally, when I had enough conditions to raise a cat, I began to carefully consider various factors. When choosing the breed of the cat, I had several important considerations. First of all, the cat should be easy to raise. I was originally very fond of Ragdoll cats. Their elegant appearance and gentle personality fascinated me. However, after in – depth understanding, I learned that Ragdoll cats have relatively fragile stomachs, known as “glass stomachs”. For a novice like me, it is quite difficult to raise them, so I had to give up reluctantly. Secondly, I hope the cat is affectionate. After all, raising a pet is for companionship. If it is fierce, bites and shows its claws to the owner, what’s the point of raising it? Finally, considering my limited economic conditions at that time, the leather sofa at home was the most expensive piece of furniture. I didn’t want the cat to scratch it.

After comprehensively comparing Ragdoll cats (expensive and difficult to raise), American Shorthair Cheshire cats, British Shorthair blue – and – white cats, and silver tabby cats, I finally chose this cute silver tabby cat. As it turns out, my choice was extremely correct. It is really super well – behaved, like a little tail in my life. Wherever I go, it will follow me closely. Its whole body can be stroked casually. Its paws, tail, and belly can be touched casually. It won’t resist no matter where it is touched. Instead, it will squint its eyes comfortably and make a purring sound. Its silver – and – white fur looks extremely beautiful in the sun and is very photogenic when taking pictures. What surprises me even more is that it never scratches my leather sofa. Usually, except for being a little naughty occasionally when playing, it basically doesn’t show its claws, avoiding damage to the furniture.

It’s like my caring little guard. Whether I’m sleeping, eating, or working, it always accompanies me silently. I often need to go on business trips. Every time I leave it alone at home for three days, it can be very obedient and won’t cause me any trouble. And as soon as I get home, it will be like a long – lost relative, running over eagerly, rubbing its little head against my hand desperately to express its missing for me.

Of course, it’s not perfect. Speaking of its shortcomings, its IQ is indeed a bit lower compared to American Shorthairs. Sometimes, when teaching it some simple skills, such as shaking hands and sitting down, it takes a lot of time and patience for it to barely learn. But even so, its position in my heart has never wavered. With its innocence, cuteness, and companionship, it has filled many blanks in my life and brought me endless joy and warmth. It is my spiritual comfort in my tired life and my most precious family member.
