In the days of accompanying my cat Doudou, every moment is like a twinkling star, embellishing my life. Now, for the third time to update its growth record, my heart is full of emotions.
Doudou used to be a lively and curious little guy, full of curiosity about the world. I still remember when I first brought it home, its timid appearance, with its small body carefully exploring the strange environment. As time went by, Doudou gradually got used to this home and began to show its naughty and lovely nature. It would chase its own tail in the room, having a great time; it would secretly get into the wardrobe when I wasn’t paying attention and make a mess of the clothes inside; and it would jump onto the sofa and snuggle up beside me, purring contentedly while I was watching TV.

However, the path of growth is not always smooth. Doudou’s eyes once had inflammation, which worried me a lot. Seeing its red and swollen eyes and continuous tearing, my heart ached. So, I hurriedly took it to the doctor. The doctor prescribed three kinds of medicine. The first two were eye drops, and the third was an eye ointment. According to the doctor’s advice, there should be an interval of two or three minutes between using each medicine. When the eye inflammation was severe, the eye drops had to be applied every three hours or so. Applying medicine to Doudou every time was like a “battle”. It was always not very cooperative and struggled desperately. But in order for it to get better soon, I could only patiently soothe it and try every means to make it obedient. Fortunately, after a period of careful care, Doudou’s eyes gradually improved, and the frequency of using the medicine could be reduced. Seeing its eyes slowly return to brightness, I felt sincerely relieved.
Now, Doudou has grown up and completed the neutering surgery. After being neutered, it seems to have entered a new stage of life. It lives a life of no desires and no pursuits every day, and the focus of its life seems to be only eating, sleeping, and playing. It no longer runs around the house full of energy like before, but has become lazy. It can often be seen in a sunny place, finding a comfortable corner, curling up into a ball, and sleeping soundly. After waking up, it slowly walks to the food bowl to enjoy its delicious food. Sometimes, it also plays with its favorite toy for a while, such as a small plush ball, gently rolling it with its claws, enjoying itself.
However, Doudou now has a small “trouble”, that is, it has to always consider how to escape the “claws” of the baby. After a new baby was added to the family, the baby is very curious about Doudou and always wants to reach out and grab it. Although Doudou has a gentle personality, it is still a bit scared of the baby’s not – so – gentle actions. So, it often hides quietly when the baby approaches, and only carefully pokes its head out after the baby leaves. Looking at its clever appearance, I always can’t help but laugh.
In this process, Doudou is not only my pet but also more like my family member. Its growth, its joys and sorrows, all closely affect my heart. From the worry when it was sick to the joy when it recovered; from the helplessness when it was naughty to the warmth when it accompanied me quietly, every experience makes me cherish the time with it more. In the future days, I look forward to continuing to accompany Doudou, witnessing more of its growth moments, and creating more beautiful memories together.
