In the busy rhythm of life, my lovely cat Eric is like a warm beam of light, brightening every day of mine. It has been a long time since I updated Eric’s daily life. Today, I would like to tell the stories of this little guy recently.
Eric has just gone through the neutering surgery. When I sent him for the surgery, I was the only one with him. I didn’t “act” like some owners to try to deceive the cat. I thought he would resent me because of this, but unexpectedly, after the surgery, he didn’t show any signs of hating me at all. He still eats and drinks as usual, and even becomes more clingy than before. Every night, he must sleep closely against me to feel at ease. His cute appearance really melts my heart. Now Eric is no longer as thin as before. His body is chubby, and when touched, he is fat but not greasy. Holding him in my arms feels extremely good. He is heavy, as if I am holding the warmth of the whole world.
Speaking of the process of raising Eric, there are really all kinds of small episodes. Before, he always liked to bite people, which made me a bit distressed. My dad said that I should lock him up when I’m not at home. However, I usually only lock him up for a short while when he is extremely naughty to establish my “authority”. After all, I live alone, and I will be stricter and lock him up only when my parents come. After such training, now he doesn’t always pounce on my feet and bite me like before. Every night, I use a cat teaser to play with him. But this little guy is extremely energetic. No matter how hard I try, I feel like I can’t exhaust his energy. Often, in the end, it’s me who is out of breath and tired. Eric loves all kinds of balls and cat teasers. Every time he sees these toys, his eyes will light up, and he will chase and play with full of vitality.
Some people once said that Eric was too thin, but in my opinion, he just wasn’t as fat as other cats, and he hadn’t developed jowls yet. Fortunately, recently he has gained some more weight and is almost seven pounds. When I pick him up, I can clearly feel that he has become more solid. Especially when he suddenly jumps on my stomach, that heavy and somewhat pleasantly surprised feeling, I believe all cat – raising 小伙伴们 can deeply understand. In terms of diet, I arrange it carefully. I usually feed him Orijen cat food and also match some freeze – dried foods such as beef liver, chicken, duck, beef, and egg yolk. Occasionally, I also give him dried small fish and beef powder. After the cat food is eaten every day, sometimes I open a can for him to improve his diet, or feed him some freeze – dried small quails. Every time after cutting his nails, I use cat treats as a reward. However, sometimes I give too much, and he can’t finish it all, so the food often remains until the next day.
Eric also has many interesting daily moments. He especially likes to stay in the pile of express parcels, as if it is his secret base. Once, when I was organizing the drawer, as soon as I opened the drawer, he quickly got in and directly regarded the drawer as his territory. No matter how I drove him, he refused to come out. He is also very curious about the process of me applying facial products. He always stares at me intently. Once, he even fell asleep while watching, and his appearance was extremely cute. Another time, I caught him sneezing. His appearance seemed to be saying “Aha!” which made people laugh.At that time, his pitiful little eyes, I still remember vividly. In addition, he will also lie on the bay window and quietly watch the activities organized in the community outside. Maybe that was the first time he saw so many people, and his eyes were full of curiosity and exploration.
Eric, in his unique way, has added countless joys and warmth to my life, making me feel endless happiness in the ordinary days. I am looking forward to spending more wonderful times with him in the future and witnessing more of his growth moments.
