The Growth and Emotional Changes of Little Luoyang

The Growth and Emotional Changes of Little Luoyang

In my life, there is a very special cat named Little Luoyang, a lovely British Shorthair Silver Shaded. When I recall the moment I first brought Little Luoyang home, its tiny figure was so cute and pitiful. On the way back home with it, Yuanyuan and I were already extremely hungry, so we took it to a noodle shop. We gently placed it on the dining table. Its round eyes were rolling around, curiously looking here and there, full of novelty in its eyes, yet faintly revealing a sense of fear. At that time, it was only as big as a palm and could fit comfortably in the palm of my hand.

After bringing Little Luoyang home, I settled it in the room. Since it was winter, I was worried that it would get cold, so I turned on the heating without hesitation. The heating runs on electricity, and usually I’m reluctant to turn it on for myself. But for Little Luoyang, I let it run 24 hours a day. As a result, the electricity bill for that month soared to nearly 600 yuan. Even so, Little Luoyang still caught a cold. Early the next morning, I saw that one of its eyes was red and swollen, with pus flowing out, and it could hardly open its eye. It hung its head, looking extremely pitiful. I had never seen such a situation before and was immediately panicked. I quickly asked others for help.

After learning that it had a cold, I rushed out early in the morning to buy medicine for it. When feeding the medicine, I was very careful and my movements were extremely gentle. Fortunately, after taking the medicine, its condition improved. However, a few days later, it caught a cold again. When it was little, it seemed to catch a cold frequently. So I fed it pediatric granules. Each time I only gave it a little bit, dissolved the medicine in warm water, then gently picked it up, stroked it while slowly prying open its small mouth, and patiently fed it spoon by spoon. I had never been so patient with anyone before.

Later, it was time to get Little Luoyang vaccinated. I searched everywhere for a suitable pet hospital. While carrying it to the hospital, I was constantly worried that it would be scared, so I kept kissing it and stroking it, trying to relieve its nervousness. After getting vaccinated, I thought about making delicious food for it. The veterinarians at the pet hospital and the person who sold the cat to me all suggested that feeding Royal cat food would be fine. But I thought differently. I must feed it better food. Although I’m not financially well-off myself, my principle is that “I can’t let the cat suffer even if I have to endure hardship myself”. Although I can’t afford the top-quality cat food, I still try to choose cat food of good quality. And just feeding cat food is not enough. I also need to supplement it with meat. I’ve bought chicken breast, beef, and fish for it, and then carefully cooked them for it. You know, I’m a very lazy person, but I’m willing to cook for Little Luoyang.

However, life is always full of unexpected changes. My mother, who used to dislike Little Luoyang, suddenly had a complete change of attitude and now loves it very much. And Little Luoyang, which used to be extremely attached to me and stick to me all day long, no longer circles around me. Instead, it closely follows my mother and has become very attached to her. At first, this emotional change made me feel a bit disappointed. But seeing that Little Luoyang can receive more love from my mother, I gradually let go of those feelings. After all, in this family, whether it’s me or my mother, we have all given Little Luoyang full love, and in return, it has brought us endless joy and companionship. That’s what really matters.
