In my heart, I have always had a deep love for cats. Finally, I decided to go to a cattery to choose a cat of my own. Among the many lovely cats, I saw Mochi at a glance. At that time, it was only two and a half months old, with a wrinkled appearance. Due to the recent move of the cattery, the change of environment made it very afraid of people. However, its unique appearance attracted me. Especially its bottom reminded me of a hamster meme, which was very interesting.
At that time, I didn’t know much about the appearance of cats. In the following days, I gradually consulted materials and learned that silver shaded British Shorthairs usually have a black nose line around their noses. But Mochi has a pink nose. However, I don’t care whether its bloodline is pure or not. In my eyes, it is the most beautiful little prince. Because of its soft and fluffy appearance, I naturally thought of the name “Mochi (which means snow mochi, a kind of glutinous rice ball)”. I felt that this name fit it very well.

When Mochi first arrived home, due to its unfamiliarity with the new environment, it meowed under the sofa all night. But the next morning, when I opened the door, it started rubbing against my legs and meowing, as if it had already adapted to this home. What surprised me even more was that the next day, it generously lay down on the computer desk and slept soundly. At that moment, I knew it was a little baby with strong adaptability.
When Mochi was less than three months old, it showed full cuteness. Its round eyes were always looking around the world curiously. As time passed, Mochi grew up slowly. Although it occasionally got into trouble because of its strong curiosity, it was always the little sweetheart of our family. It depended on people very much. If it slept next to me and I left for too long, it would quickly get up and look for me. Only when it was within the range where it could see people would it feel at ease.
The growth process was not always smooth. Mochi once had a minor cold. Once, its belly was so swollen from eating that I was worried it had ascites. Fortunately, as it grew up, these problems were all solved. Now, Mochi will be six months old in 10 days and weighs six jin already. It feels heavy when held. Its eyes have become bigger and brighter. Every time I come home, it will definitely squat at the door, run over and rub against me for a long time, and meow several times happily. For this little baby who usually doesn’t like to meow much, it makes me, the cat owner, very happy to hear it greet me so warmly.
The arrival of Mochi has added countless joys and warmth to my life. Every move and every expression of it deeply affects my heart. I look forward to growing up with Mochi in the future, witnessing more of its wonderful moments, and creating more beautiful memories.
