Garuru: A Treasured Feline Companion

Garuru: A Treasured Feline Companion

On December 22, 2018, my life took a wonderful turn when Garuru became a part of my family. I am truly grateful for his appearance in my life journey. I made a special effort to visit several reliable catteries and compare the kittens there. The moment I saw Garuru, I knew I had to take him home. Maybe I was the “chosen one,” or rather, the “chosen aunt” as I like to jokingly say.

When Garuru first came to our home, he was a little kitten who hadn’t fully grown yet. His eyes were astonishingly large, and he was extremely lively. He loved to explore, walking around the house, looking at everything with curiosity, and even seemed to have a knack for climbing and jumping around as if he were an acrobat performing feats of “feline parkour.” Since he had already developed good toileting habits in the cattery, he didn’t hesitate at all when he arrived home. He immediately found the litter box and left his first “gift” in our new home, which was a sign that he was starting to feel at ease.

From a young age, Garuru wasn’t too fond of sleeping with people. When it was cold, he would come over and snuggle up next to my head or hand, but he absolutely refused to get under the covers, no matter how many times I invited him. I had to accept his independence gracefully. He really is a very independent little fellow.

Garuru has always been easy – going in terms of eating, drinking, and sleeping. He’s extremely worry – free. With his arrival, I seriously delved into learning about cat food ratios and how to raise him scientifically. I didn’t spoil him just because of his cute antics. Instead, I started working even harder so that he would never have to worry about the future. All I wanted was for him to grow up to be a beautiful and healthy little cat.

When Garuru started losing his baby teeth, I, as his “cat mom,” was overjoyed. However, there is one thing that can be a bit of a challenge. Garuru really loves to “climb the human tree.” As a result, I often end up with scratches and marks on my body. But when I look at his incredibly cute face, it’s impossible for me to stay angry. The only punishment I can think of is to trim his nails.

For friends who are considering becoming cat owners, I highly recommend visiting physical pet stores or catteries. It’s an experience that won’t disappoint. Having the privilege of being involved in the growth of a life is truly a wonderful and precious experience.

Every time I come home, Garuru greets me at the door, offering me a double – treat of purring and rubbing against my legs. When I’m cooking, he likes to perch on my shoulder, looking at what I’m doing with great curiosity. He insists on sniffing every single vegetable I use. If I don’t let him, he meows loudly, which can be a bit exasperating. He has a particular fondness for steamed buns and often tries to steal food from us humans. He follows me everywhere, whether I’m washing up, using the toilet, or taking a shower. He’s crazy about vitamins and nutritional paste and gets really impatient if I don’t give them to him.

Garuru is also extremely interested in light. He’s a true “light chaser.” Another interesting aspect of his personality is that he’s a bit of a clean – freak. He needs two separate litter boxes for his urine and feces and never mixes them up. He really has a strong character.

Oh, and one important thing to note for all cat lovers: don’t feed your cats human food. Kittens have very delicate stomachs, and human food can easily make them sick. It’s best to just cook some chicken breast for them regularly.

In conclusion, Garuru has brought so much joy, laughter, and a sense of responsibility into my life. He’s not just a pet; he’s a beloved member of my family. I look forward to many more years of sharing my life with him and watching him continue to grow and bring happiness to our home.
