In my ordinary life, the cat Geteng is like a shining little sun, bringing me endless joy and warmth. Her arrival has completely changed my life rhythm, making every day full of surprises and warmth.
At first, I didn’t plan to have another cat. The little rural cat that my boyfriend had been raising always avoided me, not allowing me to touch or stroke it, which made me feel a bit disappointed. However, by chance, I met Geteng. At that moment, her cute and soft appearance completely captured my heart. On impulse, I brought this little cutie home without hesitation.
When Geteng first arrived home, she was really a clingy little fairy. She especially liked to stay on the bed. Once, while I was drying the quilt, she and the original cat in the house occupied my bed together, as if it was their exclusive territory. Geteng also had a unique hobby. She was very fond of pillows and always had to sleep beside the pillow. Annoyingly, she was not clingy to me but to my roommate. She ate the food I bought and played with the toys I purchased, yet she climbed onto my roommate’s bedside every day and only acted coquettishly towards my roommate. Looking at her affectionate appearance, I felt extremely wronged. Sometimes, I was so angry that I really wanted to throw her out. But whenever I saw her turn her belly without any defense, showing that cute and trusting look, my heart softened instantly. I only thought that I wanted to give her the best things in the world.
Geteng has a very interesting personality. When she is quiet, she is like a gentle lady, quietly lying in a corner of the sofa, as if she could stay there forever. But when she gets active, she is like a naughty child. I made a rather ugly, but still usable cat climbing frame – like nest for her with a cardboard box, and she couldn’t put it down. She drilled in and out of it all day long. There are many foxtails growing on the terrace, which became her natural and free cat teaser. She often had a great time playing in the grass. Her lively figure brought full of vitality to the house.
Geteng’s sleeping postures are also very bold. Sometimes she lies on her back with all four legs spread out, without any sense of image, which makes people laugh. Looking closely, she has beautiful eyeliner, just like wearing carefully applied makeup, adding a bit of unique charm to her.
Time flies. Unconsciously, a year has passed. The once – small Geteng has grown into a big “bun”, with a chubby and extremely cute figure. On a whim, I put blush on her to dress her up, and she looked even more playful. During this year, not only has she changed in appearance, but her personality has also become more gentle and quiet, making her more and more lovable.
In October this year, to find a companion for Geteng, I added a little American Shorthair brother, Xiaodanta. Xiaodanta is very clingy to Geteng and follows her around all day. The interaction between the two cats has brought more joy to the house. Looking at the warm scenes of Geteng and Xiaodanta playing and sleeping together, I feel sincerely happy.
Geteng, this lovely little guy, although sometimes brings me some small troubles, has brought me countless joys and companionships. She has become an indispensable part of my life. I look forward to spending more wonderful times with her and Xiaodanta in the future and witnessing more of their growth moments.
