Recently, Ximi has turned into a little chatterbox. It meows “miaomimi” every day, seemingly trying every way to attract my attention. I often feel that it seems to be chatting with me, sharing the joys and sorrows in its small world.
What makes me even more surprised is that Ximi has learned a new skill recently. When eating small snacks, it actually puts its hands together, just like a well – behaved child praying. Looking at its cute appearance, my heart as its “old mother” is full of relief, and I almost shed excited tears. However, its performance in high – fiving and shaking hands is still unstable. Sometimes it will respond to me enthusiastically, and sometimes it will suddenly “go on strike”, making people laugh and cry.
Looking back on Ximi’s growth process, it’s really interesting. British Shorthairs, by their very genes, tend to gain weight easily. When Ximi was two or three months old, it was extremely thin and not enthusiastic about eating. I fed it according to the recommended amount of cat food online, but it could never finish it. However, since it got sick once, its appetite has been getting better and better, and its weight has been increasing rapidly. Now, the nape of its neck, which determines its “fate”, is already fat and thick. Moreover, it’s said that the appearance of a male kitten is influenced by its father. Ximi’s father has a big face and a fat belly, so now looking at Ximi, we can imagine its cute, chubby appearance when it grows up.
Recently, Ximi has entered the molting period, and its fur has become fluffy. From the side, it has become a handsome young cat with a face as big as a bowl. But from the front, sometimes we can still see its small chin. Its appearance change is really unpredictable and full of mystery. Ximi is a relatively white shaded cat. Only about one – fifth of the tip of its hair is gray. It’s not as gray as ordinary shaded cats, nor as white as silver – point cats. So, when taking pictures in poor light, its little face looks a bit dirty, as if it has just rolled in the dirt. I really wish it could have a Huawei P30 so that it could take beautiful photos.
