The Story of Datou’s Interaction with Other Cats in My Home

When Datou first arrived at my home,I was filled with worries. I was afraid that he wouldn’t get along well with the original rural cat in my family and that there would be a “cat war”. So,at the beginning,I carefully isolated him in the bathroom to prevent them from coming into contact too soon.

However,when they met for the first time officially,the scene was beyond my expectations. Datou behaved very friendly. He showed no aggression at all,just standing there quietly and looking at the original cat with his big curious eyes. The original cat was a bit vigilant at first,arching its back and making its fur stand on end slightly. But soon it found that Datou had no ill intentions,and then it relaxed.

As time went by,they gradually got familiar with each other. Datou’s silly appearance often made the original cat play with him. During the play,Datou’s clumsiness was fully revealed. For example,when they played the chasing game together,Datou would always run into things or trip over his own paws and fall flat on the ground. While the original cat was very agile,easily shuttling between the furniture. Looking at Datou’s clumsy appearance,the original cat would even let out a few “meow” sounds,as if laughing at him.

In the matter of catching mosquitoes,the performance of the two formed a sharp contrast. The original cat was very nimble. With a single pat of its paw,it could accurately catch a mosquito,and its movements were clean and neat. But Datou always missed. When his clumsy big paw pressed down,the mosquito had already flown away,and he would slowly lift his paw to check with a dazed look,which was really hilarious.

Although Datou had many situations during the play,the original cat never disliked him and still stayed with him inseparably. They would sleep together on the sofa,snuggling up to each other; they would share food together and even sometimes give in to each other. Seeing them getting along so harmoniously,my heart was filled with joy. They brought endless vitality and happiness to my home and also made me feel the pure friendship between cats.
