After all, a cat looks completely different when it’s crouched or curled up compared to when it’s stretched out. Here, I extremely do not recommend raising a cat like raising a pig, thinking that the fatter the better! Obesity can cause many diseases, okay? If you like a short and thick body, try to choose a cat with such a body shape when selecting. Don’t buy a slender cat and blindly feed it to make it fat, thinking it will be cute. This is really just your wishful thinking, and it also harms the cat!
Actually, if a cat is fed well, it will grow strong and its body shape won’t be ugly. It’s only when it’s too thin or its fur is not well – maintained that it looks ugly. So I put the body shape last because this part can be improved through feeding! However, there is still a difference between this and the naturally thick – boned pure blue British Shorthair. Just like thick arms, some are thick because of thick bones, and some are thick because of thick flesh!
Once again, I emphasize that you should not over – feed the cat and cause obesity!
Let’s feel the British Shorthair Blue cat with thick arms and legs.
Then look at the one with thin arms.

Most are like this:
A round body not only looks cute but also feels better to touch.
And obesity doesn’t look good:
After talking about the above points, I still need to emphasize one more thing. Before buying a Blue and White cat, you should understand the appearance standards of Blue cats, the looks of the kitten’s parents, whether the purchase channel is safe and guaranteed, and whether the kitten is healthy. Then, on this basis, adjust according to your own preferences!
Don’t be led by the words of the cat sellers!
I emphasize the important thing three times!
Why? Because according to my observation, many cat – selling sales pitches can be adjusted immediately to maximize their own interests.
For example, the so – called “backyard cats” sellers will blindly emphasize: “My cat has a perfect ‘eight’ shape face, five pink parts. It’s a rare one in a litter! That’s why it’s expensive!”
Or the so – called “pure – bred breeding catteries” will repeatedly brainwash: “Oh, don’t listen to what those cat cat dealers say about the perfect ‘eight’ shape face and five pink parts. I tell you, those don’t matter. Look at how thick these paws are and how beautiful this tail is!”
But what if a Blue and White cat is bred with a perfect ‘eight’ shape face, five pink parts, a continuous white collar, and also has the characteristics of a short body?
It must be more expensive than the cats that only have one of these advantages.
Why? Because from both the breeding perspective and the customer’s aesthetic perspective, it is perfect!
So, to summarize and emphasize:
The color division (pink nose + non – dirty – looking color division) and the body shape (round face + strong body) are equally important!
After a search on Baidu, you will find that Blue and White cats with both of these points are extremely rare! But generally speaking, those with a pink nose, clean color division, and a well – proportioned and relatively plump body shape are all relatively sweet and cute, and also meet the aesthetics of most people. If the face is also chubby, it can be considered a very beautiful Blue and White cat!
You must follow your own heart and preferences. After all, you keep your cat at home for yourself to enjoy. If you feel comfortable looking at it, you will be happy for the dozen or so years of raising it. What’s the point if others say it’s good, but you just can’t see the beauty?
If you buy a cat with double – pedigree and certificates (even among pedigree cats, there are those that don’t look very good) and you just don’t like it, are you going to tell everyone that your cat is pure – bred and expensive? Or are you going to resell it at a good price?
As a pet for companionship, I don’t think so.
