I brought my little blue cat home on December 23rd last year.
The following are the items I prepared for my cat and their applicable situations:
Cat Bed: There is a hot – water bag in the cat bed. The cat will sleep in the cat bed during the day when no one is at home and at night.
Cat Litter Box: Needless to say, you will definitely buy one, haha. I recommend the one I bought. It’s a fully – enclosed type. It looks nice, prevents cat litter from being carried out, and effectively blocks the smell of feces. At first, the cat was too small, and I was afraid it wouldn’t know how to use the litter box, so I removed the door. I reinstalled the door these days. The cat is very smart.
(Just finished cleaning its ear mites at that time, and its fur was all puffed up!!!)
Cat Litter: If you don’t have time to buy it online, you can buy a bag at the pet store first. Tofu cat litter is recommended. It’s cost – effective and has less dust.
Cat Food: Since the two – month – old cat is too small, it is recommended to buy Royal Babycat Food, which is cost – effective. Of course, if you have the conditions, you can buy Orijen, Solid Gold, Wellness, Avoderm, etc. Just don’t buy Briquette.
Cat Food Bowl and Water Bowl: I also bought an automatic one, but it’s not very useful.
Probiotics: This must be bought. Kittens have very weak stomachs.
Nutritional Paste: This must be bought. Kittens are prone to getting sick if they are nutritionally deficient.
Lysine for Cats: At first, the pet store said it was necessary to eat it to prevent feline rhinotracheitis. Later, I went to the pet hospital. The cat had just received the vaccine, and the doctor said it was not necessary to eat it, and eating it would also affect the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Goat Milk Powder: The cat liked to drink it very much before it started eating the babycat food. Now it doesn’t drink it at all.
Cat Grass: It’s for hair – ball control, but the cat doesn’t eat it at all. I have to forcefully mix it into the cat food for the cat to eat.
Cat Cage: I bought it on Xianyu, but I haven’t used it at all. The cat is very obedient and safe at home, so I let it roam freely.
Monitor: Since I have to go to work during the day and I was worried about the cat when it first came, with the monitor, I can check on the cat from time to time. It’s much more convenient.
Cat Canned Food: I just forgot to mention it. I bought it at the pet store. Fortunately, the cat is not picky. It contains starch, so I don’t recommend it. I recommend Whiskas Temptations, which has a kitten – specific version.
Pet Carrier: It’s a must – have item when going to the pet hospital for vaccinations.
Nail Clippers: I just bought them and haven’t used them yet, but of course, it’s necessary to have one.
Disinfectant: For deodorizing and disinfection.
Pet Wipes: I use them to wipe the cat’s eye discharge and butt every day.
Toys: I recommend the cat teaser wand with a bell. From my experience of buying several kinds of toys, I found that the cat is more sensitive to the sound of the bell. The cat completely ignores the wool ball, the mouse – shaped tumbler, the realistic – looking fish, and the spring – attached mouse. What it loves the most is actually a one – yuan ping – pong ball!!! What a thrifty cat. I’m so touched…
Laser Pointer: The cat likes it very much.
Cat Scratching Post: The cat also likes it very much. Could it be used by the cat to vent its anger? Hahaha
Cat Tree: The cat likes it very much too.
