Reason: Kittens are very cute and look so young and innocent. Many people think it’s more fun to raise a cat from a very young age. I used to think the same way. They’re not just bluffing. Those who have been in the breeding business for so many years are not doing it for fun. At 2 months old, the kitten is still very fragile and has a strong craving for milk. It’s best to prepare goat milk powder and a feeding bottle and continue to feed it for a while. Firstly, it can enhance the kitten’s resistance, and secondly, it can soothe its little heart. Here, a note: don’t give the kitten food immediately when it arrives home. Just put some water, and then give it some easy – to – digest food after a day.

6. Cat Litter and Litter Boxes:
I have used pine – sawdust – based cat litter and bentonite clumping cat litter. I strongly recommend not using pine – sawdust – based cat litter. I bought several of the best – quality pine – sawdust cat litters, even the most expensive ones, but they were really not good. They couldn’t cover the smell, and cleaning the litter box was extremely troublesome. Poop is okay, you can just scoop it out after the cat poops. But when the cat pees, the urine meets the pine sawdust, and it’s not as simple as the sawdust turning into powder and falling into the lower compartment for easy disposal. Instead, you need to use a shovel to scoop around in it, shaking the powder under the grid. Just imagine the scene of stir – frying, it’s really anti – human. Later, I used bentonite cat litter, and it was like a whole new world.
For the litter box, if you don’t have many cats at home, a fully – enclosed one is recommended. I really don’t like the kind of litter box where you need to take off the whole lid when cleaning. I think it’s very troublesome. So I always buy the kind that can be opened. At first, I bought an enclosed one from ARIS. The British Shorthair cat in my family used it well, but when it came to the Ragdoll cat, it was a disaster. Because although the ARIS litter box looks big, the inner space is not that large. And the Ragdoll cat likes to poop with its head inside and its butt outside. Well, you know what I mean…
Now I’ve changed to a large – sized Maoleshi litter box. Finally, she can use the toilet comfortably, and I don’t have to clean the toilet every day. However, Maoleshi has a drawback. It’s not easy to move. The ARIS litter box has buckles to fix the upper and lower parts, and the lid has a handle, so you can easily move the whole litter box to a new place by just lifting it. The Maoleshi litter box just has the lid on the bottom base without any fixing devices. If you want to change its place, you can only carry it by the bottom, which is quite an awkward scene. The picture shows the Maoleshi litter box. Some people say that it has a serious problem of tracking litter. Since my litter box is placed on a separate small balcony with a cat door, the litter is isolated within the small balcony. If you care a lot about the litter – tracking problem, you may need to consider other models.
