Regarding Entertainment
There’s no need to buy toys. You can make them by yourself. Paper balls, yarn balls, cloth balls, strips of cloth… all will do. The key is to play with your cat and move the toy in front of it.
Cats will definitely scratch to sharpen their claws. You can buy a cat – scratching post (but it may not use it and instead scratch the furniture). The simplest and best way is to give it a cardboard box. It can hide inside and also scratch on it.
If there’s a window where the cat can enjoy the view, that’s great. Set aside a space so that it can look outside.
Regarding Disease Treatment
Skin diseases: If the cat scratches itself frequently, check if it’s due to fleas or ringworm. If it’s fleas, put an anti – flea collar around its neck and spray a flea – killing solution on its body every day (refer to the instructions on the package). If it’s ringworm, take it to the vet to see if it needs an injection. The cat’s fur should not be kept wet for a long time. Dry it after bathing or getting wet in the rain. Wipe the fur dry after it comes back from a walk in the grass. Cats don’t like excessive heat, but they need to be exposed to the sun occasionally. Make sure it can access a sunny area.

Ear diseases: If the cat frequently scratches its ears, it may have an ear problem. You can drop ear – cleaning solution into its ears (follow the instructions on the package).
External injuries: For minor scratches, you can apply Bactroban. For serious injuries, take it to the vet. Regularly stroke the cat all over to check for any abnormal skin conditions.
Deworming: If there are worms in the cat’s belly, you can clearly see them in the feces. The cat may also drag its anus on the floor, leaving fecal marks. To prevent worm infestations, give it a deworming pill once every six months (you can buy it online).
Urinary stones: If the cat meows abnormally, urinates frequently but has difficulty urinating or only urinates a small amount each time, you can feed it urinary tract prescription cat food.
Hair – ball problems: When the hair the cat licks accumulates in its stomach, you can give it hair – ball paste or cat grass. It’s recommended to always keep cat grass or catnip on hand. Cats like them, and you can buy them online at a low price.
Vaccination: The cat needs to receive a “Feline Distemper, Herpesvirus, and Calicivirus” vaccine (commonly known as “Cat Triple”) once a year to prevent various diseases. This vaccination is a must!
Constipation at the anus: If there is dry feces stuck at the cat’s anus, you can gently and repeatedly wipe it with a wet cotton swab.

Generally, doctors will provide advice, but they will always suggest “bringing the cat in for a check – up”. However, in most cases, you can solve the problems on your own.
