Tips for Raising a Blue Cat

For example, when choosing cat food, this is something I often don’t quite understand. Over the past year or so, I’ve come to the conclusion that you must read various feedback and reviews online. You don’t necessarily have to buy the most expensive one, but at least don’t buy toxic cat food. You also need to complement it with some other nutrients. You can check out good answers on the Internet. And don’t feed too many snacks, or the cat will easily become picky eaters. If the cat has an incorrect eating habit, correct it slowly. Don’t be too drastic because cats can be very stubborn.

Change the water frequently. Don’t let the cat develop the habit of licking the floor, and definitely don’t let it run to the bathroom to play with water. Many cat owners will find that their cats run onto the table and steal water from their water glasses. This may be because the cat is curious, or the basin you use to pour water for the cat is dirty, or the water has been there overnight and the cat doesn’t want to drink it. This situation requires special attention in summer.

Spend more time with your cat if you have time. Blue cats have a relatively dull and quiet personality, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need to play. Just sitting with it and stroking its fur can be considered playing with it. However, don’t tease it. You can play jokes occasionally. Some blue cats are more independent and don’t like to be close to people. Don’t force them. If it needs to rest quietly, stroking its fur may also make it feel uncomfortable. Respect its feelings.

Regarding stroking the fur, there’s one thing to note. When a blue cat lies on the ground with its belly exposed, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s inviting you to touch its belly. It may just feel very comfortable and relaxed in this way. If you touch its belly rashly at this time, even a very good – tempered cat may suddenly bite you because the belly is a sensitive area for it. You can first let it sniff your hand to get familiar with your smell, and then tentatively stroke its back, head, cheeks, chin… and finally its belly. If the cat doesn’t want you to touch its belly, then… don’t touch it. Of course, once you get really familiar with it, you can be relatively more “free – spirited” in petting it.

Prepare a comfortable nest. My blue cat likes soft cushions. Buying a few more pillows at home, it will lie quietly on them all day, being extremely obedient. But still, prepare a separate small nest for it. Don’t let it sleep either on the sofa or in your bed all the time. Give it a fixed place to live.

Prepare a larger cardboard box. Most cats are naturally fond of cardboard boxes. You can place one in a sunny area and one in a relatively cool place.

Clean its living place. Keep the cat’s nest in a relatively clean state. When the cardboard box gets dirty, throw it away and replace it with a new one.
