Besides the above, he has a dog – like personality, loves to meow, is bold, and has a strong curiosity. I brought him back from a backyard breeder. At first, I definitely didn’t plan to raise a Scottish Fold blue cat. I always had the impression that blue cats looked fierce. But when I picked up Lantian, he licked me. He was so small, only as big as a palm. I just melted and immediately decided, it’s him.
However, that store was a shady one. When I bought him, they told me he was three months old, but actually, the doctor at the hospital said he was less than two months old. After bringing him back, he had diarrhea and cat ringworm. He was so small. Spending thousands of yuan on his treatment didn’t matter, but he was too small and weak. Seeing him go through so much pain and suffering made me really sad.
Let me show you how he looked when he was a kitten. He was like an angel. My classmates said he looked like a doll.
At that time, for his treatment, I left him at the hospital for convenient medicated baths and applying medicine because when I tried to treat him myself, I couldn’t control the spread of the cat ringworm, and I even got infected. So I had no choice but to leave him to the doctor. I was away from him for a month.
After a month, I picked him up from the hospital. At the same time, I also brought back a Garfield cat named Fanshu from the hospital. He was bullied by the blue cat in the same cage and had to poop on the upper layer and let it drop into the litter box. He had been through four owners, and I was his fifth owner. He had a really tough life in the previous two years. He has an honest and kind – hearted temper, and a gentle and introverted personality. I felt sorry for him and bought him home, promising to take good care of him for a lifetime.
But Lantian was really angry. At that time, his cat ringworm wasn’t completely cured, so he still needed to be isolated. Fanshu was running around on the floor, and Lantian held a grudge against me. At that time, I couldn’t touch him at all. From being inseparable from me at first, he then scratched me at every turn. I tried all kinds of ways to get along with him better. It was not until after he was neutered. He thought he was going to die during the neutering. After he recovered, he finally understood me.
He started to be gentle with me.
But he’s still very naughty. He’s hostile to almost any other cat, except for Fanshu. He always teases Fanshu and dotes on him. Fanshu is disliked by any other cat, but only Lantian is willing to play with him. Now they get along very well. Fanshu is smart and a bit reserved, while Lantian is silly and goofy. Later, Lantian learned from Fanshu how to steal things and open cabinets. They became partners in crime.
