I have a folding – eared blue cat with a really bumpy life story. It was bought by the son of my husband’s aunt’s friend. Then, since they didn’t want to keep it anymore, the son’s mother gave it to my husband’s aunt’s mother – in – law, and then it was sent to my husband’s aunt’s home. My husband’s aunt has two children and didn’t want to keep it either, so I took it. Coincidentally, my father went back to his hometown to handle some affairs at that time. He brought the cat from Anhui to Ningbo and then to Shanghai for me. Before I received it, I heard the whole family praising how extremely obedient it was. When I first received it, it looked like this:
After arriving home, it took a turn around and was immediately attracted by the hamster. (Yes, I also have a hamster!) The two had never seen each other before. They sniffed each other through the hamster cage for a long time. Then the hamster turned around and went to do other things, while the cat lay beside it and watched for a whole night.
In the first few days, it was really extremely obedient. Its belly could be touched. (Now it scratches immediately when I touch it, and it’s very fierce.) It ate very little and spent most of the time lying down and sleeping. When I gave it a bath, except for a little dodging at the beginning, it sat obediently and didn’t resist at all. Since I didn’t buy a pet – specific hair dryer, I used my own. Even on the low – speed setting, there was still noise. It dodged once and then got used to it. It seemed to know that I was drying its fur. It licked me while I was drying, and it took a very harmonious half – hour to dry it. This was on the night it just arrived. It ran around and got its head stuck in the cabinet. My first reaction was to grab my phone and take a picture…
Later, it became bolder and started to show its true nature. It jumped around everywhere and slept in all kinds of positions. It no longer had the angel – like appearance it had at the beginning. Because the ears of folding – eared cats are prone to bacteria, I need to apply medicine often. I can’t hold it down by myself at all. Every time it shakes the medicine all over me, but every time I catch it back. Hahaha (The fur around its ears is a bit wet because of applying medicine)
When it first came, its chin was sharp and it was quite thin. Now its face has become quite round.

Eating the canned food noisily, it even attracted the hamster. The hamster seemed to say: What are you eating? Share some with me.

I took so many photos of it. I originally wanted to write a long – form growth diary for it, but later I found it too troublesome. Generally speaking, at first, maybe because it had been wandering around and was very timid, it was extremely obedient. Later, after it settled down with me, its true cat nature emerged. After all, it’s a kitten less than one year old. It can freely get on the bed and the table. After that, after realizing that it was the “master”, it started to be “aggressive” towards me. If it wasn’t satisfied with the walk outside, it would come back and want to bite my feet. If it got unhappy while I was petting it, it would turn around and bite.
It looks fierce but is actually cute. However, it knows its limits. It bites and then releases immediately or licks after biting. Now I feel like I’m raising a child. I can roughly feel its emotions through its meows, eyes, and movements, and I can also communicate with it simply. I think this is amazing. Also, because it’s a folding – eared cat, I sometimes worry that it will get sick. Fortunately, it’s almost one year old and is still healthy. Later, I will take it to take an X – ray. It had a hard time when it was a kitten, and in the future, I will take good care of it (clean its litter box).
