Previously, our family planned to raise a Teddy dog. But by chance, when I was waiting for someone at the flower – and – bird market, I saw a handsome guy carrying a basket and selling cats. There was a male cat and a female cat. The female cat was priced at 1500 yuan and the male cat at 1000 yuan. The male cat winked at me as soon as it saw me. I immediately made a video call to my parents and asked, “Can we raise this cat?” My mom said, “If you raise both a Teddy dog and a cat, then get out of the house…” So, for the sake of staying at home, I gave up struggling.
But I didn’t give up. I kept taking pictures and sending them to my mom. After a long time, my mom replied, “It’s really more beautiful than a Teddy dog. (I don’t mean to look down on Teddy dogs. Please don’t scold me.)” As I listened, I felt that her attitude was changing! Coincidentally, a couple wanted to buy that little female cat and directly bargained the price from 1500 yuan down to 800 yuan. Seeing their fierce bargaining skills, I felt eager to try. So I said, “Is 600 yuan okay?” Hey, what a coincidence. He actually agreed…

So I shakily carried the little cat, the cat litter, the litter box, and the cat food home. My mom rolled her eyes at me as soon as she saw me. Just as she was about to scold me, the little cat meowed. My mom immediately said to the cat, “What are you meowing for! No matter what, you’re now a cat of our Zhang family~~” Then she held the cat’s face and started chatting with it…
So! I finally became a cat – owner. I originally wanted to name it Zhang Dui’er (the name “Dui’er” comes from a card – game term, like “pair of twos”, and it’s fun to say “I can’t beat that” in the game). But my mom thought it was too stupid, so she named it Zhang Douding!
Student Douding’s personality is quite different from that of ordinary cats. He’s aloof and arrogant, a really hard – to – describe cat. But he’s extremely greedy and timid. When he sees a stranger, he quickly hides and cries in the corner. He always frowns and looks at people sideways. If I want to hold him, he definitely runs away. But when I want to study, he definitely comes over and asks me to hold him. I really don’t understand him.
Finally, I hope our Douding lives a long life, can eat and drink well, and grows up healthily!
