When I graduated in 2017 and first came to Beijing, it was really tough. I attended classes and worked alone, and played with the cats on campus. I became more and more fascinated by cats. Fortunately, after the Spring Festival, I got Zhu Xiaoba. It was the best gift I’ve ever received. When a friend sent me her video, I was at a dinner gathering. I couldn’t help laughing and then crying out of joy. I had a companion! In this huge city, I was no longer alone.
Later, I went to Tianjin to bring her home. She was so tiny. I held her carefully, feeling it was incredible.
She grew up slowly. Although I didn’t have the chance to raise my favorite Husky, I actually raised her to be like a “Husky – cat”. She jumped around and even “destroyed” the house. (I later learned that she was the ringleader of the litter when it came to doing mischief…)

There’s a truth that raising a cat really affects studying. (with a serious face)
Aha, she even needs to do the “Moe Beam” pose when sleeping.
I just couldn’t control my hands. When she was half a year old, she once jumped onto the small balcony ledge. And that moment became the classic cover photo of my WeChat Moments, my favorite one. On that day when the sunlight shone down, it was dreamy and bright.
At that time, she learned to climb onto my back. She wasn’t heavy, but it kind of hurt. Sometimes she would look around curiously like a groundhog, and started showing some strange sleeping postures. (From then on, it was always a distorted pose with hands on one side and feet on the other.)
Until one day, I saw this little one actually crying for the first time. She was scared to tears by my newly – bought yoga mat and even climbed onto the window screen. What on earth was this operation? And the next day, she ruined my newly – bought double – petaled jasmine…
In the middle of the story, every cat has to face the “sterilization knife”. She was sterilized… After waking up from the anesthesia, she kicked the doctor hard. But she calmed down when the doctor handed her to me. I felt so 心疼 (heart – broken). (Till now, I’m still 纠结 (torn) about whether the sterilization was the right thing to do.) The gauze on her shoulder formed a small heart shape. Xiaoba, I really like you. I’m sorry for making you suffer.
Due to my guilty conscience, she became a little “pig”. (Sterilization can indeed make a cat gain some weight. Little magic piggy, blablabla)
When I was sick and not feeling well, it was really nice to have her by my side. In fact, cats are really understanding. She would secretly peek at you and quietly accompany you.
The first time I went back home for the Spring Festival and left her at a friend’s place for foster care. On the first day there, she showed aggression to my friend’s original cat. I then realized that cats really have expressions. She looked angry, which was kind of cute but also made me feel sorry for her. Well, the next day, she became more active and even learned to hide in the wardrobe from the “big brother cat”. (I’ll delete the photo of the big brother cat if it violates the rights. Hahaha)
Wow, she’s so cute. Stealth shooting online.
When the piano arrived, she was very excited. Now, she just sleeps on the piano cover.
The cat scratching board can no longer hold her, but her sleeping posture is still both cute and funny.
She’s more vain than me. She especially likes looking at herself in the mirror. If she were a girl, she would definitely be a beauty who could charm all the young boys. Hahaha
Here she comes, turning into a “pig”.
She’s two years old now. Let’s end with a recent photo of this little girl. Thank you for your company. Although you’ve caused quite a bit of damage, your cuteness can offset all of that. (Well, her formal name is quite common, Zhu Baxi… Tangyuan might be a more suitable name.)
Okay, I hope you’ll be safe and healthy. Thank you, my baby.
