Huihui, whom we adopted from a pet hospital before! He was extremely cute!
Personally, I prefer cats with a just – right face shape, not those with an overly large face. Huihui was the kind of cat that looked chubby – cheeked and full of vitality. Hahaha.
Everyone in my family loved him. Even my grandmother, who doesn’t particularly like small animals, loved to pet him. All the relatives who saw him praised us for taking good care of him. He really got zero negative comments.
Although he was chubby, he loved sports. He got along very well with another cat in my family. They would fight for a while and then groom each other’s fur. He had a good temper. I’m a light sleeper and can’t fall asleep when the cat moves around. So he got into the habit of sleeping alone in the study and rarely made noise. And the most important thing was that he loved to drink water! A cat that loves to drink water is really outstanding!

However, he was extremely timid. I don’t know if it was because he was transported by plane in the cargo hold when his previous owner bought him and got scared. When he was a kitten, he wasn’t afraid of people at all. He often followed my mother to visit neighbors and was very adaptable, acting as if he was at home in other people’s houses. But when he was over one year old, for some reason, he became more and more timid. Once, the two cats followed the three of us in my family back to our hometown. (We thought it was just a journey of over an hour, so we took them with us.)
Halfway through, we changed to an SUV. Since he had never been in this car before, he was so frightened that he kept drooling. But the other cat was fine. When we arrived at our hometown and put them in a separate room, he was a little better. We originally planned to stay for a day and then leave, but considering the two furry kids, we went back that night. We spent over an hour wiping his drool in the car. It was so pitiful. As soon as we got home, we quickly opened a can of cat food to soothe him, and decided never to take him back to our hometown again.
He went to the cat heaven on May 7th this year. May 12th would have been his second birthday. He suddenly had convulsions at home, and within just a few seconds, his pupils dilated. I rushed him to the hospital immediately, but it was too late. The doctor speculated that it was most likely a heart problem, probably congenital. (When he was a kitten, because the seller was an unscrupulous cat dealer, he was full of diseases when he came and was abandoned by his previous owner in the pet hospital.) It was also closely related to his own physical condition. It was hidden so deeply that it wasn’t detected in the hospital before. There were no signs at ordinary times, and then he was gone just like that.
I hope you can have cans of cat food every day in the cat heaven. I miss you so much.
