The Heartbreaking and Heartwarming Stories of My Silver Shaded and Blue British Shorthairs

This answer was pushed up, and I was really furious when I saw a sanctimonious person in the comment section. My cat wasn’t starved to death, for god’s sake! Hubei was the worst – hit area during the epidemic. People were not allowed to go out. The cat had dog food to eat, not that it had nothing to eat. What does it mean that my friend’s family had meat but not giving it to the cat was irresponsible?

And do you really think that cats eating pork is better than eating dog food? Do you think it was easy to buy vegetables and meat during the epidemic? My friend took a great risk to take my cat in. I’m already grateful for that. The cat had dog food to eat. How could I ask my friend’s family to eat less to feed my cat? Let me say it again. My cat died of stress – induced urinary obstruction, not starvation, okay! I’m so angry.

The Heartbreaking and Heartwarming Stories of My Silver Shaded and Blue British Shorthairs

I’ve raised both kinds of cats. The silver shaded British Shorthair was a little chatterbox. It was extremely clingy and affectionate, loved to knead, and was extremely gluttonous. It ate everything. Whenever you peeked at it, its head was surely buried in the food bowl. It was one year younger than the blue British Shorthair, but because it loved to eat, it grew as fat as the blue British Shorthair in just a few months.

The blue British Shorthair was adopted. When it was a kitten, it vomited for unknown reasons. We took it for examinations many times, and the doctor said there was no problem. Later, after changing the cat food, it didn’t vomit anymore. It was extremely timid, not very affectionate, but it would stay in a place where it could see people. It didn’t eat much and didn’t eat many snacks either. But because it didn’t like to move, it grew very fat. Now it has dental calculus and is taking medicine and having its teeth brushed every day. It’s very obedient and is a worry – free cat.

The silver shaded British Shorthair didn’t survive the epidemic. It’s a sad story. I loved it very much. It was really cute.

Due to the sudden lockdown during the epidemic, I was stuck in the countryside and couldn’t return to the county. In the picture, it was taken home by a friend to be temporarily raised. In the end, the cat food was all eaten up and couldn’t be bought, so the cat had to eat dog food. The silver shaded British Shorthair died on the first day after the lockdown was lifted… It couldn’t hold on. When I rushed over, it was already dying in my arms. I think I will never forget it.

To add, the silver shaded British Shorthair was a young male cat at that time, so it wasn’t neutered. Later, when I asked the doctor, the cause of death was urinary tract infection.
