First of all, both are British Shorthairs. They are chubby and round, extremely cute.
I have a blue British Shorthair and a silver shaded British Shorthair at home. Let’s take a look at the pictures first.
British Shorthairs are relatively easy to raise. Compared with American Shorthairs, they are more straightforward and rounder; compared with hairless cats, they have a better feel; and compared with Ragdolls, they shed a little less.
My blue British Shorthair (Little Chubby) was bought from a flower – and – bird market. At that time, I didn’t know much. The shop owner’s wife introduced that blue British Shorthairs are easy to raise and cute, and raising them from a young age makes them closer to people. Plus, when I saw the “father” of “it” that the shop owner’s wife raised, I thought it was so cute and lively. So I took it home on the same day. I bought Little Chubby for 800 yuan. With the cage, cat food bowl, cat litter box, and cat litter, I spent 980 yuan to bring it home.
This is what it looked like on the first day it arrived home. The shop owner’s wife said it was two months old. In fact, we later found out that it was only a little over one month old. At this time, it should have been nursing in front of its mother cat. Suddenly being weaned and changing the environment led to serious stress reactions later. (It’s the fault of the unscrupulous merchant…) I won’t talk about this for now. If you need it later, I’ll write about how to recover from cat ringworm.
Later, we shaved Little Chubby’s fur for treatment, and it recovered well. I was afraid it would be lonely, so I wanted to buy another cat to accompany it. That’s this silver shaded British Shorthair (Little Gradually~). Gradually was bought from a regular cattery after I learned my lesson. It’s a result of mating between a silver – tipped shaded and a silver shaded British Shorthair. Its eyes were blue – green when it was a kitten, and they turned more green when it grew up. I bought it for 2500 yuan. It had already had two doses of vaccines when I brought it home, so there were not many problems. Later, it got cat ringworm for a while after being “favored” by the “big brother”.

Next, there are many pictures. Let’s see which one is better.
Little Chubby has a dual personality. Since it was a kitten, sometimes it’s clingy, and sometimes it’s “tough”. I can only pet it depending on whether it’s in a good mood or not.
When it had cat ringworm, it was very small and hadn’t even started getting vaccines. It cooperated well with the bath treatment, injections, and taking medicine.
The cattery owner said it was a mixed – breed cat and its appearance was not good (mainly to say that it was not as good as his silver shaded British Shorthair). However, we didn’t mind. We still liked it very much. At that time, I didn’t know about cat ringworm, so I took a lot of detours. The money I spent was even more than its price, but I never complained.
The doctor said it was thin, but it could eat a lot. Maybe because it was bought from a flower – and – bird market, its resistance was a bit better.
It gradually recovered.
The lonely Little Chubby~
The fur on its face grew back, but there was still some cat ringworm that hadn’t healed. Even so, it was already very cute.
Next is Little Gradually~ (Many pictures)
Just arrived home, a soft and cute little~…~…~ little brother. Yes, both of them are males.
Can you see that its eyes are a bit blue?
After being infected with cat ringworm, it got angry when wearing the Elizabethan collar and wet the bed, so it was locked in the cage. But it was still super obedient.
It let others do whatever they wanted with it. It has an extremely good temper.
It’s like a girl. Can’t it be a bit “tough”?
It always looks like “Hurry up and pet me”.
Gradually has hyperplasia on one side of its nose, which leads to blocked tear ducts. There are always tear stains, and I need to clean them every day. This is really troublesome……… But I have a great way. If you need it later, I’ll explain.
In fact, whether it’s a blue British Shorthair or a silver shaded British Shorthair, we can’t generalize about which breed is better. Each cat has a different personality, and each owner also has a different personality. When cats are naughty, they are like little demons, and when they are well – behaved, they are like little angels. Anyway, I hope you have a cat.
