My Adorable Blue British Shorthair “Wangcai”: A Lucky Find

Compared with other netizens’ blue British Shorthairs,

I feel like I was really lucky to buy such a “little sweetheart”.

Actually, the reason I bought it at first was that my partner liked cats. One day, my partner and I had a quarrel. To make him/her happy, I bought this cat named Wangcai.

At that time, I went to a pet store. I saw that it was really cute. I had never done any research on buying cats before. I just bought it because I liked it. The boss said it was two months old when I bought it. Since I didn’t prepare anything in advance, including the cat litter box and cat food (just for the transition, knowing that the pet – store cat food is not very good), I spent a total of 2,200 yuan. After bringing it home, I was really worried and searched everywhere for cat – raising strategies. Whenever there was something wrong, I would take it to the vet immediately, and I wasted a lot of money.

When it was about four months old, the epidemic broke out. The cat food ran out (due to the epidemic and the Spring Festival, various bonded warehouses were closed). So I fed it canned food all the time, like various brands such as Le Petit Prince and Ziwi Peak. I fed it one can a day, and it was really a pity.

Wangcai gained weight visibly. Now it’s almost nine months old, and its tail still seems very long. Judging from all these situations, I should have bought a mixed – breed cat. However, Wangcai has an extremely good personality. Everyone who comes to my home can pet and hold it. Every morning at 8 o’clock sharp, it wakes me up. It must make me get up to accompany it to eat cat food and drink water before it allows me to go back to sleep.

It has an extremely fast acceptance ability for all things. It’s not afraid of new environments or strangers. For so long, it has almost never hurt me, my family, or my friends by accident. It always looks so silly and cute. Every day, it needs to be petted intimately twice (when I’m lying down playing with my phone, it runs to lie on my chest and asks me to pet it. It keeps purring, and its paw must touch my face!!!!)

Maybe the only thing I’m still worried about is that it has no hostility towards people at all, but it’s very fierce when it sees other cats (every time I take it to a family – run pet studio to take a bath, it puffs up its fur when it sees other cats. The same is true when it’s in heat and sees a little female cat). I’m wondering if it won’t be able to accept it if I raise other cats in the future.
