I bought my Bichon Frise four years ago for 1800 yuan. He was already four months old when I got him. Who doesn’t like cute little puppies? But a very young puppy that leaves its mother too early might have poor resistance and could even die in my hands. If that happened, I would feel guilty for the rest of my life. So, I gladly accepted this little guy who was four months old and not so easy to be sold. His parents had good appearances, but his look was really a bit awkward. I thought it was because he was in the awkward – phase, as shown in the picture.

As the puppy grew up slowly, he went through countless illnesses, such as enteritis and even parvovirus. I can’t remember how much money I spent or how many tears I shed. But fortunately, my puppy grew up healthily to be four years old. At this time, I also realized a reality. Even after the awkward – phase, the amount of his fur has always been poor and sparse. No matter how hard I tried, it couldn’t grow into the thick, marshmallow – like fur. And he also sheds hair. You know, Bichon Frises don’t usually shed much. I don’t know if it’s because he didn’t inherit good genes or if the seller deceived me.
But all these things are not important to me anymore because I love him. Even if he becomes the “bald – like Ge You” among dogs and sheds hair until he’s bald, I will still love him. During the four – year time we spent together, he has become my precious little baby.
So, dear questioner, since you’ve decided to raise a dog, no matter whether you later find out that you bought it at a high or low price, whether its bloodline is pure or not, and whether its appearance is good or not, please don’t use these as the criteria for loving it, okay? Although it’s a commodity you bought, it’s also a little life. The most important thing is that when you brought it home, it already regarded you as its whole world.
