The tabby cats in the community are extremely smart and have a wild charm. Sometimes when they “hit” me, they’ll retract their claws and never hurt me. If I could, I’d love to adopt a tabby cat.
When we first met, it meowed at me as soon as it saw me. After I opened the cat food, it couldn’t wait to start gobbling it up. I really took a liking to her.
June 8th
When I got home from the night shift and meowed habitually at the entrance of the corridor, it showed up with an orange – cat buddy and they did a “duet” of meows. I quickly reached into my pocket for cat food, but the two cats were scrambling so much that they knocked my phone out. It’s so hard for me to hold an umbrella, a cat – food bag, and my phone while also trying to feed them.
After feeding for a while, the tabby cat squatted between my legs. I nervously reached out and stroked it twice. This time, it didn’t run away. Before, if it didn’t like being touched, it would run away, circle around, and then come back.
June 9th
When I got off work at noon, I saw it eating something in the lawn. It ignored me when it saw me. When I stopped my bike, I found it went to play with some kids. Ungrateful thing! ╭(╯^╰)╮
In the afternoon, when I was about to go to work, this little guy suddenly popped up from nowhere and meowed loudly at me. I quickly went upstairs to get cat food. While going upstairs, I thought something was wrong as it had never meowed this loudly before. Usually, it would just meow a few times. When I went out, I saw it was squatting on the second floor. I quickly took it downstairs, worried that it would disturb the neighbors. I scattered the cat food on the ground and it gobbled it up. Before, when I put more cat food while it was eating, it would threaten me with a growl while eating. But now, it eats wherever I scatter the food, always going for the newly – placed food. I’m already planning to buy a cat bowl.
June 15th
I got scratched a few days ago and had to get a vaccine. It hurt so much (ಥ_ಥ). I plan to take it for a triple – vaccine shot and deworming in a few days when I have some money. I’m just worried that it might become distant from me if I carry it there. I think it’s gotten fatter recently.
June 16th
I got home too late last night. When I was pouring the cat food, it still rushed towards the food bowl eagerly with its head down. Maybe the bowl I bought is a bit too small. A few days ago, when it was like this, I had to press it down with my hand. Otherwise, before I could pour much cat food, there would be its fur all over it, and a lot of food would spill on the ground. Yesterday, it was a bit better. I pressed it gently and it obediently waited for me to pour the food. My partner was standing next to me, and it seemed to make the cat very nervous. But soon, it started circling around my partner’s legs. What a strange behavior!
June 18th
It seems that the tabby cat isn’t very afraid of water. It had been raining since the morning. As soon as I reached downstairs, it ran towards me. Both of us, me and this furry fellow, were standing in the rain. It squeezed between my legs, asking for a pet. I’ve mentioned a few times while feeding it not to meow too loudly as it might disturb others. Recently, it hardly meows loudly anymore and just makes soft meows.
Now, it has developed a new hobby. It insists on squatting, lying, or crawling right between my feet. If I spread my legs wider, it lies horizontally. If I keep them closer, it lies vertically. It’s like saying, “I’m slender, I can squeeze through!” What on earth is this strange behavior? I found that its belly is white.
