Why did I choose? Well, I think it’s fate, something that’s destined (´∀)♡ There was a period when I couldn’t get up in the morning and was too lazy to have breakfast. The first day I picked up Coke was November 1st. Out of the blue, I had a sudden urge to have a proper breakfast. So, I went out and saw it squatting beside the root of a tree at the entrance of the community. When I first picked it up, it was extremely small and skinny. Surprisingly, its fur wasn’t dirty at all.
It just squatted there motionless, with its fur all fluffed up. I thought it was too scared to move. Ah, it was only after I brought it back to my room that I realized its fur was like that naturally. Hahaha. Actually, I had been thinking about getting a cat the previous month. Living alone in a room, I often felt quite lonely. So, when I saw Coke there, I thought it was the will of heaven ( ˙˘˙ ).
When I came back at noon, I soaked some milk, but it didn’t drink any. It also meowed loudly. However, I had things to do during the day and couldn’t take care of the little cat. When I came back in the evening, I found that Coke’s right front paw was limping and it couldn’t walk properly. It kept meowing. But it was too late that day, so I didn’t take it to the hospital. I fed it some of the milk I drank. Maybe it was really hungry, as it drank a plate of milk. Lying on the sofa, it still meowed non – stop. I was at my wits’ end, so I played the harmonica for it and chose a piece from “Spirited Away”. Hahaha, unbelievably, as soon as I started playing, it stopped meowing and stared at me while I played. Then, when I wanted to change to another song, it started meowing again. I had no choice but to play the same song repeatedly.

After a few minutes of playing, it actually fell asleep. Oh my goodness, I finally felt relieved. I quickly tiptoed to turn off the lights and go to sleep. Hahaha\(^▽^)/! The next day, I took Coke to the pet hospital. The doctor said it needed an X – ray. When the results came out, it turned out that the bone at the joint was broken! Since the kitten was too small, they could only bandage and fix it. Guess what? As soon as its foot was fixed, it stopped meowing. It curled up in my arms and fell asleep.
Alas, I knew there must be a reason for it to keep meowing. It must have been in great pain. PS. I had a bone fracture myself before, and after it was fixed, the pain went away. After leaving the pet hospital with Coke, I bought cat food, cat litter, a cat litter box, goat milk powder, and nutritional paste at the nearby pet store. I bought these items on the recommendation of a young lady in the store. Well, I had never raised a cat before and didn’t know anything about these. ╮(╯_╰)╭ The young lady was very nice. When she knew I had picked up a stray cat, she said I was kind – hearted. Originally, there was a 9.5 – discount, but she gave me an 8.5 – discount instead. She also gave me a cat food bowl that I had forgotten to buy. ╯▂╰
And then I started my cat – raising life! On the advice of a friend, I named it Coke. (/ω\) Because at that time, we were joking about giving it some really cool names like Long Aotian, Ye Liangchen, Zhao Ritian, etc. Well, Coke can be pretty “explosive” when it’s shaken. In the following days, Coke was extremely clingy to me. As long as I was in the room, it wanted me to hold it. It even had to eat in my arms and sleep close to me. Alas, I was in a good mood, but also a bit annoyed by its clinginess. Because it had just been bandaged, I didn’t want it to move around too much. The doctor said its leg might grow crooked. I was really worried! After two days, I found that the bandaged paw was swollen. I quickly took it to get an injection to reduce the swelling.
At the hospital, I met a young lady who said this cat would be very good – looking in the future, as the “M” on its forehead was very distinct. She suggested naming it Little M. (//∇//) I was sweating. I didn’t even notice the “M” until she pointed it out. But I was still very happy. Well, it’s been 13 days now. The little guy has obviously grown, and its belly has become round. It has learned to use the cat litter, and it doesn’t cling to me to sleep anymore. Wuwu, I feel a bit sad ( ノД). But it really wants to play with me!
Well, now I’m addicted to “cat – sniffing” and can’t stop. Time to sleep.
