Ermao, My Adopted Tabby Cat: Mischief and Unconditional Love

Ermao, My Adopted Tabby Cat: Mischief and Unconditional Love

Just like many other answerers, our Ermao was also a stray I picked up. He always hung around a barbecue shop, but he was very bold. On the first day he came home with me, he didn’t act like a stranger at all. It was as if he had always lived in our home. Maybe this is fate. Before he was neutered, he was very clingy to me. After that, he still likes to stay close to me but doesn’t like to be hugged. He always stays within a half – meter range of me, no matter what I’m doing, even when I’m taking a bath. Now he has become a big, chubby cat.

I saw that someone liked the post I answered a long time ago, so I want to list the bad things this annoying Wang Ermao has done recently:

I’ve had Ermao for two and a half years, and he has peed on the bed 11 times in total. The most recent two times were yesterday and last Sunday. As usual, I had to throw away two quilts. I think maybe the litter box at home was dirty, and this picky guy actually chose the bed. Humph. However, I was so calm that I didn’t even beat him. I felt nothing inside and even started knitting a sweater.

Knocked over red wine

When I got home from work, I saw a pool of “blood” in the living room and was so scared that I almost screamed. I thought something had happened to them at home. But then he came running over to rub my leg. Only then did I see the broken glass bottle all over the floor. He knocked over the red wine that I had kept for a long time, and it stained the carpet. Still, I didn’t get angry and beat him. I just silently cleaned the floor and even worried if they had stepped on the glass and got hurt.

Carried a whole live shrimp onto the bed to play with. There were many blood – spots on the bedsheet, and there was also a strong fishy smell. According to the usual practice, I still didn’t beat him. I just silently took off the bedsheet and washed it.

My friends all say that a stray cat has lived like a pampered pet cat in my home. In my memory, I only beat him severely the first time he wet the bed. After that, I’ve never beaten him for his mistakes. I’m a hot – tempered cat owner, but I’m really surprisingly patient with him. I think this is why I chose a tabby cat in the first place. It’s all about fate.
