Mimi was five years old when she came to our home. The original owner’s two cats in the family rejected her, so the owner posted an adoption notice online.
At first, we thought she was a little over one – year – old because she really wasn’t very big. Later, we learned that she was already five.
Mimi is really well – behaved. When she first came, she was a bit of a handful as she liked to urinate everywhere!
Due to having been in two different families before, she was quite defensive when she first arrived. It was only after over a month that she got a little closer to us.
As for why we chose a Chinese rural cat (tabby cat), many answerers have mentioned it:
Because they’re beautiful.
For our family, Mimi’s appearance was quite accidental.
At that time, during the vacation, I thought that after coming back, I still wanted to have a cat to accompany me.
The original owner already had two cats at home and they rejected Mimi, so the owner had no choice but to find a new adopter for her.

When we saw Mimi’s photo, we thought there was a story in her eyes (definitely not just because of her looks (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)).
Since it was our first time raising a cat, we chose a tabby cat, which is relatively easy to raise. The survival ability of Chinese rural cats is really different!
After she came, we found out that we were too naive. Mimi is very picky about food. She only eats two out of six flavors of canned food. She doesn’t eat cat snacks, jelly, or lick candies…
She will never go near food or cushions she doesn’t like for a second time… So every time we buy her new things, we’re very worried
(。-_-。) that our little master will ignore them.
Of course, the appearance of tabby cats can’t be ignored!
Now, here come a lot of pictures!
When she’s quietly being a beautiful girl:
We live on the top floor, so occasionally we let her out for a stroll… At first, she didn’t even dare to go out of the front door, but later she wanted to go out and play every night! Otherwise, she would meow at you!
There are also times when she’s caught off – guard and made into an emoji by her silly owner:
She doesn’t like the cat bed we prepared for her, but she really likes rubbing against our clothes and bags…
In the end, everything falls under the “claws” of our little master! Humph ~
Finally, here’s a video of Mimi “committing crimes”!
At first, our friends didn’t understand why we would adopt a five – year – old tabby cat. That’s because they don’t understand tabby cats!
Where else can you find a cat that’s so clingy, cute, and smart!
We hope we can accompany Mimi for a few more years. It’s really a pity that we didn’t participate in her most wonderful childhood.
