III. Appearance of Li Hua Cats
Li Hua cats have a diamond – shaped head and almond – shaped eyes. Their eye colors are mostly green or yellow – brown. Li Hua cats have a robust body, large paws, and a powerful tail. Their fur comes in various colors, but generally, they have tiger – like stripes. Of course, their appearance is also quite beautiful. The symmetrical brown or dark – brown markings showcase their unique, inborn temperament of being majestic and powerful. In the wild, it is precisely this protective coloration that has allowed this ancient cat breed, the Chinese Li Hua cat, to survive to this day. (I won’t elaborate much here. Let’s directly look at the pictures.)
IV. Chinese Native Cats, World – Renowned Cats
Chinese Li Hua cats were once regarded as native cats that couldn’t make it to the grand stage. They were not rare in China, and their prices were quite low. However, in recent years, many people have been committed to the breeding of pure – bred Chinese Li Hua cats. In 2010, after seven years of efforts by the CFA China Great Wall Cat Club, the Chinese Li Hua cat was finally listed as a famous cat breed. Strict breeding measures were carried out, and pedigree certificates were provided. By the way, it also has an English name, Chinese LiHua. That’s really remarkable!

However, currently, the official websites of TICA, CFA, and ACFA do not display the breed information of Chinese Li Hua cats. (The specific reason may be that the number of registered Chinese Li Hua cats is relatively small.)
V. The Exceptional Mouse – Catching Expert – Chinese Li Hua Cat
The intelligence of an adult Li Hua cat is equivalent to that of a 3 – to – 4 – year – old child, placing it in the high – intelligence category among cat types. Moreover, since it is not artificially bred, even after being doted on by people as domestic cats for thousands of years, the Li Hua cat still retains the most natural feline instincts.
Compared with other domestic cats, it is more like a smart and noble hunter. Its strong body and large paws make every Li Hua cat agile, and catching mice alive is simply effortless for them.
As an excellent mouse – catcher, the initial reason why Li Hua cats entered numerous rural households in China is their outstanding mouse – catching genes. Basically, if a family raises a Li Hua cat, not only will the mice in their own home disappear, but those in the neighbor’s house will also be gone. Therefore, Li Hua cats are quite popular in rural areas.
