Pea: The Adorable Kitten That Found Its Home

Pea: The Adorable Kitten That Found Its Home

I’m at home, having just lulled the cat to sleep.

This little one is now bathed in the orange light, looking very much like a sleek and shiny sesame – filled glutinous rice ball.

The kitten is named Pea. It was a hot day. I didn’t really want to go out originally, but for some strange reason, I had an overwhelming craving for pea – flour jelly. I was drooling at the thought, so I had to go out. When I got back to the community, I found this little baby.

I brought it home and named it “Faca i” (which means getting rich in Chinese). But my dad thought the name was too tacky. After much thought, we decided to call it “Pea”.

When little Pea first came home, it was probably over 40 days old, and its eyes were still blue.

Pea was one of a litter of wild kittens. Its mother gave birth to a litter in the 夹层 of a two – story building in the neighboring old community. But little Pea climbed and ran around and fell down into the flower bed of our community.

I heard it howling when I got home on Sunday, but I didn’t manage to pick it up until Tuesday. There were several night rains during that time. The little guy was starving and terrified, a dirty and stinky drenched kitten. I wrapped it in my clothes and took it to the veterinary hospital. After the check – up, the doctor said it was okay, no sign of a cold. I went home with the meowing Pea and a can of goat milk powder.

After the little one got used to the new environment, it started to play with me.

Pea is very obedient. Without being taught, it knows to use the litter box and never messes around outside. It’s also very clingy, like a little tail, following me wherever I go. When I lie on the sofa for a nap, the little guy climbs up, circles around in my hair, then snuggles into my arms, leans against my stomach, purrs, and falls asleep in no time.

Maybe the little one knows: My mom loves me! Grandma loves me! Grandpa loves me! Everyone loves me! After letting down its guard, it lies on its favorite small blanket all day, sleeping in all kinds of positions.

Of course, if it’s following me, it also has to rest its head on my slipper.

The little one is getting more and more beautiful now.

And because it’s so cute, my mom, who initially said “I hate cats the most”, has also changed her mind.

Pea also greets me at the door. Every time I open the door when I get home, the little one jumps over, sits at the door, and when it sees me, it rushes over to rub against me.

Now the little one is sleeping in my arms, its small ears twitching occasionally, like a little elf. It’s my most beloved baby.

After all, I’m the little one’s mom, so of course I love it the most.
