I dropped my phone and took these photos with an iPad. When I woke up from a hangover and saw the shattered – screen phone, and then looked at this ugly and dirty little thing, I regretted it so much. But there was nothing I could do; it was my own fault. I used the iPad to buy cat food, cat litter, and other things for her. It took about two days for them to arrive. During those two days, I fed her milk. When she really couldn’t hold it anymore, she would hide behind the door to poop and pee. One thing worth praising is that after I put the litter box in place and threw her into it a few times to show her that this was where she should poop, she has never pooped anywhere else since then. I bought Royal kitten food, which cost about 300 yuan. It was a bit expensive, but she ate it happily.
After taking a bath, she looked a bit better.
This was about a month after I started raising her.
It seems that fate is predetermined. Sixteen wasn’t afraid of me at all. In the middle of summer, every day when she slept, she would hug my neck and knead on it. Her claws scratched my neck so painfully. But there was nothing I could do; it was my own fault.

I don’t know why she got sick. She kept urinating, only a few drops each time and it was red. I was so scared. I took her to the hospital and had a B – ultrasound. The doctor said she had an inflammation and that I should change the cat litter frequently. Turns out I was too lazy. I got her an injection and some medicine, which cost more than 500 yuan. She got better after taking the medicine for two days at home. She’s only been sick this one time since I started raising her. She’s really tough.
She was about six months old, and I took her to get vaccinated. She was so scared that she held onto me tightly.
In winter, I was worried she’d be cold, so I bought her clothes. Usually, she can do anything, climbing up high and going everywhere. But when she put on the clothes, she couldn’t even walk. She got on the washing machine and couldn’t get down by herself. She scratched off the accessories I bought with her claws. She didn’t climb the cat tree I bought, and I ended up using it as a flower stand. She didn’t use the cat – scratching board and instead scratched the sofa. I chopped chicken breast into a paste, steamed it, and fed it to her, but she didn’t eat it. She didn’t eat the stewed pork ribs either. I chopped tilapia into a paste, steamed it, and she still didn’t eat it. She only eats cat food and cans. She has never slept in the cat bed I bought; she always sleeps on my bed. You can see how easy she is to raise. You can hardly find a way to spend money on her.
These are recent photos. I love taking pictures of her, but I’ve changed several phones in the middle, and all the photos are gone.
I really love going out to play. If I’m out for two or three days, I just put more food and water. If I’m out for more than three days, I ask a friend to help feed her. She only recognizes me. When my friend goes, she either scratches or bites. Every time my friend goes to feed her, it’s like taking a risk with their life.
This was taken the day before yesterday. I went back to my hometown for nine days. When I came back after not seeing me for nine days, she was extremely clingy. When I was half – asleep, she would come and knead on me, and she could only fall asleep when I scratched her head.
It seems like I’m taking care of her, but perhaps she gives me even more. The feeling of being needed by her is so blissful.
I’ve told my boyfriend that if Sixteen passes away in ten or eight years, I might never raise another animal again. She only has me in her life, and I’ll try my best to make sure I only have her in my life too.
