After that incident, her true nature was fully revealed… I don’t know if all Dragon Li cats are like this, but Wanzi was really… incredibly naughty! Every day at home, she was like a rocket! Dashing around everywhere, climbing walls and running at top speed. She was so fast that it was impossible to catch her. She scratched everything at home except the cat scratching post. She pooped and peed all over the place, especially on the bed and the sofa, but never in the litter box. She also bit people, shoes, socks, and anything she could reach, except the teething toys I bought for her. She loved playing with napkins, rummaging through the trash can, and drinking toilet water. I taught her countless times, but it was no use. When I spanked her, she would hide and then pounce on my feet to bite me when I wasn’t looking.
Look at her “royal disdain”. During that time, every time I came home to see the house in a mess, I really wondered if I had adopted a Husky instead. Seriously, never underestimate the destructive power of a Dragon Li cat. Most things were tolerable, but her habit of pooping and peeing on the sofa and bed was really unbearable! At that time, I really considered throwing her away. Later, I searched online for reasons why the cat was so naughty and rebellious. I saw many people saying that kittens are more naughty when they’re young and will become better as they grow up. I couldn’t bear to actually abandon her, so I had to endure.

Later, we moved twice. I changed her cat litter from tofu cat litter to borax cat litter and bought her a huge two – story detached cage. Whenever she misbehaved, I would lock her in it. I put the litter box, cat bed, cat scratching post, food bowl, and toys all inside. When she was locked up, she couldn’t poop or pee anywhere else. Gradually, as she grew older, she might have become more sensible and stopped using the toilet outside the litter box. Now she has become extremely well – behaved. She never uses the toilet outside the litter box. Moreover, she has become more and more clingy and obedient. She can sit on command, and when I call her name, she comes right over. Her sleep schedule is the same as mine. Although she still doesn’t use the cat scratching post, she’s now super good. She’s not afraid of people at all, gets along well with everyone, and even likes to give people kisses. Hahaha
Now Wanzi is eight months old. The former “little cutie” has now turned into a “fatty”. Although sometimes she can be really annoying, eats a lot, and is overly clingy, every time I sit on the sofa watching TV, when I’m sleeping, or when I’m unhappy, there’s always this little thing curled up in my arms, accompanying me, listening to my complaints about the troubles of the day. Although she surely doesn’t understand, she touches the tip of her nose to mine, bringing me comfort. Just thinking that there’s a little thing waiting for me to come home while I’m at work every day makes me feel very secure.
Finally, here are some recent photos of this “fatty”. Hehe.
I’m back after more than a year! Our Wanzi is almost two years old. Maybe she’s reached a weight plateau. She stopped growing at around eight pounds. I originally wanted to raise her to be plump and white, but no matter how much she eats, she just won’t gain any more weight!!!
However, her personality is now extremely well – behaved. She’s obedient when taking a bath and getting her fur dried. At most, she’ll mutter a few words, but her body stays still. Here’s the fragrant and fluffy chubby Wanzi after a bath.
