The tabby cat I raise is called ET. I picked it up at the downstairs gate. At that time, it was estimated to be just over ten days old and couldn’t even walk steadily.
I had previous experience in raising kittens, and I had all the necessary equipment at home: goat milk powder, milk cakes, cat litter, pet shampoo, pet-specific nail clippers, a cat tree, a cat teaser, toy balls… So I didn’t need to make any special preparations to raise ET.
After a while, I’ll deworm it, vaccinate it, and have it neutered. Under normal circumstances, cats don’t get seriously ill.
Comparatively speaking, tabby cats seem to have a naturally good constitution. ET has always been healthy, full of energy, and has grown very fast.

Raising cats has brought me a lot of joy. They are so simple, without so many thoughts and pressures. When they’re hungry, they eat; when they’re sleepy, they stick to people and sleep in all kinds of strange postures; when they wake up, they play. It forms a sharp contrast with complicated humans and often reminds me: You can also live like a cat, and there’s no problem at all.
A reminder for the questioner: Kittens are usually very clingy and have a very naughty period. ET is currently in this stage, running around and biting things at home. Many people especially like to tease cats with their hands. This is a very bad habit and also a hard one to break. After all, it’s really difficult to resist teasing such a cute creature. If you often tease cats with your hands, they will regard your hands and feet as prey or toys and keep scratching and biting.
Here are some pictures of the tabby cat’s various sleeping postures:
After playing with my feet, it cheekily climbs onto my lap to sleep.
The “prostrate” sleeping posture.
I don’t care, I just want to sleep with my head on your shoulder!
I don’t care, my head has to be held up to sleep, or I’ll meow!
The “emperor” sleeping posture with my head held up.
When it was a kitten, it loved learning and had the good habit of reading before going to bed. Now it has the bad habit of trampling on books!
