My Adorable Rescued Kitten Pairs: The Story of a Dragon Li and His Buddy

My Adorable Rescued Kitten Pairs: The Story of a Dragon Li and His Buddy

I picked them up on this year’s Double Ninth Festival, a pair of little brothers. I first saw the little Dragon Li cat, so small and cute, wandering and meowing in the neighbor’s garden, looking for its mom. Their mother had abandoned them.

I brought them home and raised them for over a month. It was quite tiring to feed them milk and take care of their potty needs. Fortunately, their mother was smart in choosing a birthing place. She made a nest behind the air conditioner outdoor unit, 1.5 meters above the ground.

So the two little ones were very healthy, without any problems like fleas, ear mites or skin diseases. The little Dragon Li cat was small and had a low body temperature at first. But after a night’s rest, it recovered. Then they just snuggled up to each other, carefree. The little Dragon Li cat ate, drank and pooped a lot. It quickly caught up with the little black one in size and even surpassed it in weight. It was really easy to raise and was more affectionate than the little black one. It never scratched or bit me. When it was tired from playing, it would come and sleep in my arms. It purred whenever I touched it. It had an extremely good temper.

At first, I was going to find adopters for them. I already had three stray cats at home. If I took in two more, I couldn’t even imagine…

But I wouldn’t feel at ease handing them over to anyone I didn’t know well or trust. And I hoped someone could adopt both of them so that they would never be separated. During this time, a girl with no cat-raising experience fell in love with the little Dragon Li cat at first sight and wanted to adopt it, but she didn’t want the little black one. After considering it for a night, I politely declined.

When it comes to the changes in my life after raising the Dragon Li cat… Probably it’s that I changed from having 3 cats to having 5 cats, and I have to scoop one more litter box of poop every day.

Back home

From time to time, it would sit on my face. What should I do… You can’t bully me just because you’re extremely cute! Ah! Ah!

I can guarantee 99.99% that it will become a chubby guy in no time after being neutered.

To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, I took them to be neutered early in the morning. From going upstairs into the operating room to the doctor showing me their testicles, it only took 5 minutes. I hadn’t even finished my breakfast when the two little cone-heads were already out.
