Cat Xiaomi came to my home in the summer of 2008. By 2020, it was already twelve years old (its zodiac year). Yes, a cat born in the Year of the Rat. When it came, it was just a two-month-old kitten.
I still remember how my dad brought it back. It was so small that it could fit in the palm of my hand.
We put it on the balcony and poured a saucer of milk (from a pickle saucer) for it. It drank happily (without lactose intolerance).
That was its first treat at our home.
It was really cute when it was a kitten. Its eyes were big and round, with a round face and a small body. It was a domestic cat with chubby cheeks.
Unfortunately, I don’t have its childhood photos anymore. The blog website I used before has shut down.

Its appearance varies. When its eyes are wide open, it’s extremely cute and obedient. Wait, I’ll find some more photos of it with wide-open eyes.

Originally, it was a lonely stray cat, homeless and meowing hungrily. It walked to the door of the teahouse where my dad was playing cards and that’s where we met.
