My cat Yuanyuan was adopted from a Douban group. She was a stray cat in the community and was picked up by a beautiful and kind Douban user. When I saw her picture, I was immediately attracted. Wow! She was like a little angel, right? Because of the thick “eyeshadow – like” patterns around her eyes, her eyes looked big and round, so I named her Yuanyuan. After all, I don’t have much talent for naming… After all, my other cat is named Xiaoxiao…
Cute pictures when looking for a home
On the first day I brought her home, she was extremely timid… Her tail was a bit disabled. The tip of her tail was naturally bent into a hook, with the bone deformed. Probably due to her life as a stray, besides me, she hissed at everything she encountered. Coincidentally, my other cat has a dog – like personality and was very curious about the newcomer. So, I kept hearing her hissing, running away, and hissing again…

Actually, I’m really grateful for Xiaoxiao’s dog – like cat personality, which allowed her to get along well with this little one quickly. In less than a week, the two cats were playing together. Through their rough – housing, they gradually established their status in the family. The one lying on the ground in the picture is Xiaoxiao, but in fact, she’s the boss. She’s the only one among the two cats who has the “right” to lick the other’s bottom… But they just like to play like this, chasing each other while swapping roles, and pretending to be knocked down.
Yuanyuan isn’t very affectionate. After I open the door and come home, Xiaoxiao will circle around me in all directions, rubbing her head against my palm, asking for a pat. But Yuanyuan will just squat far away and watch. When I start patting Xiaoxiao, she will definitely make a “coo” sound like a pigeon, then trot over and rub against me to be patted. If I stop, she will leave. Or if she doesn’t get enough pats, she will stare at me steadily, then slap my leg hard with her tail once, accompanied by a short, powerful, and imposing crow – like call… Clearly, she’s giving you an order: Pat me!
When she first came to our home, she would get into the quilt and lick my hair. Later, after the “territory – defining war”, Xiaoxiao claimed the bed as her territory, and Yuanyuan never went to the bed again. The relationship between cats is really amazing. Regarding the cat toys at home, Xiaoxiao likes all toys, while Yuanyuan especially likes things with feathers. So, when there are toys with feathers, Xiaoxiao will let Yuanyuan play with them.
Although I’m not sure if Yuanyuan is a truly pure – bred tabby cat… but… she’s the most beautiful tabby cat I’ve seen in all these years.
