His name is Meila, a male Dragon Li cat. One morning when I went out to look for him, this little guy was chasing a weasel… Then he ran up a tree and used his eyes like searchlights. I quickly snapped a photo.
I brought him home when he was just one month old. Because my family was pressuring me to get married, I told my mom, “Others are having grandchildren. Let me let you hold a cat first. It feels about the same.” Now he has become my big brother.
The biggest impression my big brother gives me is that he’s not picky. He doesn’t care much about living conditions. He loves to fight and has a strong sense of territory. Of course, when he wants something to eat from you, he has no self-awareness at all.
He loves meat very much. Sometimes I boil some chicken breasts for him, or buy cooked whole fish from the supermarket, or give him those delicious wet food packs. Now he even eats dry cat food as a snack.
When he comes back from playing outside, he loves to let my mom hold him while he sleeps. He can sleep for an hour like that, coming back to enjoy the warmth of maternal love on my behalf.
This is when we were watching TV beside him and he was sleeping by himself.
This one too.
This is when he was disturbed while sleeping…

This is when he was out playing for several days and was brought back by my dad, looking very reluctant… That cat bell is quite noticeable.
He’s huge. Last time we weighed him, he was 17 pounds.
Breaking big cats’ chests (a humorous way to describe his size and strength).
This was when he was just one year old. He was quite delicate-looking back then. Later, because he always fought when he went out, he started to look weathered.
Occasionally, when I wake up in the morning, he’ll also give me a silent stare.
Recently, something happened. Because there’s also a female cat that’s a cross between a Golden Shaded and a Dragon Li at home, Meila has always thought she was his little sister. When my dad opened the door after work and she ran out to play for a whole night, my mom was really worried and went out to look for her several times. It seemed that Meila knew what was going on. He didn’t go out to play either and went out with my parents to look for his sister. When they finally found her and brought her back home, Meila started to scold her. Yes, really scold her, as if he were talking like a human. His tone was very stern and his voice was loud. He meowed for a long time and scared his sister so much that she hid on the balcony.
This is that sister.
Now Meila doesn’t go out to fight anymore. It seems he has realized that being the boss of the four buildings is not as comfortable as the sofa at home…
This year he’s four years old. I hope my big brother can always be so carefree and happy.
Above, I hope it can be of some help to your question.
