Those stray cats on the roof

One particularly cold winter day the year before last, I thought the stray cats on the roof were too pitiful, so I took sausages, goat milk biscuits and water to feed them. Unexpectedly, the first time I fed them, a big orange cat kept circling around me and rubbing against me. From then on, I started feeding stray cats and wanted to adopt one. After feeding for a month, I tried to catch an orange cat, but the cat struggled and my hand was caught. Fortunately, I wore gloves in winter and did not get scratched.

Then on the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month, I saw the back of a cat in the distance under the setting sun, strolling with its big tail erect, and then it disappeared. On New Year’s Eve, I steamed a fish and shrimp for the stray cat. Even if it was stray, it should have a good New Year, but I didn’t see it. On the first day of the new year, we brought fish and shrimp again, and suddenly found it looking at it from a distance but didn’t dare to come over. It was not familiar with the other stray cats, so it didn’t dare to come over to eat. I took some and walked over to it, and it ate very happily. It smelled good, and then circled around me. I bent down to touch it, and it didn’t resist at all, unlike other stray cats. My husband and I decided to adopt it.

The next day, we took the cat bag upstairs to feed the cats, and I fed it alone. After feeding, I stroked it, and when it wasn’t paying attention, I picked it up and put it in the cat bag. When I went downstairs, I heard it meowing. I guess it was scared. I entered the house and let it out of the cat bag. It didn’t hide under the sofa, but purred next to us. We accompanied it and stroked it, but I went back to my parents’ on the second day of the first lunar month, so I had to leave it at home by itself.

We went out, and when we came home a few hours later, we didn’t see it, but we heard snoring from under the sofa. The little guy was sleeping soundly. That night, it lay on our legs and watched TV. For the next two days, it strolled around the house. We went to the hospital for a check-up and it was very healthy. The doctor said it was about five or six months old, a long-haired tabby cat, and should be a domestic cat that was abandoned or ran away in heat. Thank God for giving us a kitten with such a good personality.

This was the first night it came to our house. It lay on the sofa and watched TV with us. It became more and more naughty

in the following days. Later, we didn’t know if it was because it ate too many crabs and had an allergic reaction. We thought it had ringworm. The doctor shaved all its hair and gave it desensitization injections for a week. It slowly got better. Later, its hair slowly grew back, but it will take nearly a year to recover to its previous state . Finally, I hope it will be with us forever.
