Education? Revenge? Abuse?

1

The question of education belongs to the scope of cognition. The premise for a cat to be successfully educated is that the cat species has been domesticated. But obviously, the relationship between humans and cats has developed for thousands of years, and to this day, humans have not fulfilled this ambition.

Before raising a cat, you should understand clearly that cats are not dogs, and the way they get along with people is different. Dogs can complete various instructions through training (including corporal punishment), but cats can’t.

Cats are sensitive, alert, and hesitant by nature. Trying to make a cat submit through “corporal punishment” or even violence is undoubtedly like trying to make a pumpkin go to the street with a vine, or a monk fighting and pulling his braids. Doing so will not only not make the cat obedient, but will also arouse the cat’s anger and fright. The brave cat resists on the spot and serves with sharp claws; the timid cat will never get close to people again after being frightened, and will become withdrawn and cowardly. More serious consequences will cause cats to be stressed and cause more difficult to repair diseases.

Primary anger

So don’t try to educate cats. No one has made cats obedient for tens of thousands of years, and it is unlikely that you can do it.

The question of revenge is a method question. Cats may do some outrageous things at home, such as biting things randomly, breaking things, parkouring and going crazy, etc. So the owner punishes or retaliates against the cat out of anger.

First of all, we need to understand why cats do disgusting things? The reason lies in the “curiosity” in their genes. “Curiosity kills cats” is widely known, and it is not groundless.

Curiosity with nowhere to go (from monitoring)

From my experience of raising cats, cats are most curious from the stage of learning to walk to adulthood, and it is common for them to make a mess of the house. Moreover, they are nocturnal animals, and they always turn the house upside down when people want to sleep. Even people with good tempers may sometimes be unable to bear it, so they beat the cat to discipline it. But after one year old, the cat will suddenly become quiet, and its vitality will become less and less as it grows older, and even become non-existent.

If you can correctly understand the cat species, you will not be angry. When the cat is old, it will be difficult for you to make it noisy.

However, I found that raising multiple cats can alleviate the problem of “young cats” destroying the house. With companions, they can shift their attention to the objects in the house to other cats.

In addition, good storage and providing cats with sufficient exclusive space when conditions permit can also avoid this problem to a certain extent. Even if it cannot be cured, it is good to stop the loss.

Therefore, there are always ways to solve problems, but it seems absurd to impose human behavior and ideas on cats across species, or even vent anger on them. Raising cats is to make you feel comfortable, not upset.

The problem of abuse belongs to the scope of human nature. The problem of cat abuse is common nowadays, and these people always say “Isn’t it cruel to step on cockroaches? Why must we be kind to cats?” The logical geniuses seem to want to declare through abusing cats: you are all equal, and we humans are supreme, but in fact they are venting the impotent rage that cannot be exerted on their own kind (that is, humans). Why do you say that?

The reason is that cat abusers are essentially disgusted with cat owners. They “saintize” the entire cat-owning population. The cognitive defect of “raising cats = sainthood” leads them to the abyss, just like “there are some liars in Anhui, so some people comment that people in Anhui are liars.” These cat abusers cannot directly attack cat owners, so they use cat abuse to oppose the large group of cat owners.

They also say that cats (stray cats) have too strong reproductive capacity and affect the ecology. However, aren’t people the initiators of ecological destruction?

We still have a long way to go to correctly understand ourselves, look at cats rationally, and understand the ecology scientifically. I won’t say more about this, and it’s not worth discussing.

In short, cats do not accept the act of “being beaten” (looking at the entire ecosystem, there are few species willing to do so). Violent treatment will only cause trauma to cats, and the recovery process is long and difficult, and even irreversible.

Some scholars have studied that cats have long-term memory. The act of beating cats, which hurts their body and mind, will be remembered by cats (not holding a grudge). With memory, the pain will continue.

Moreover, the use of violence itself is not worth promoting.

As I said, keeping a cat is for comfort, not for trouble
