I raised my big civet cat Huahua in the early years, and later it raised me. (2)
Summer came, and a goose from some unknown family would always wait for me on the way home from school. When it saw me coming, it would come up to bite and twist me. I couldn’t run fast, so the goose bit my legs and left them purple.
I asked my parents to let them take me home, but they thought it was an exaggeration. I was very sad, so I pulled up my trouser legs and saw the purple bruises. The more I looked, the sadder I became, and I cried.
Huahua came over calmly, and rubbed her head against me when she saw me sad. I showed her the wound and told her that the goose had bitten me, and she seemed to understand.
In the afternoon, I held Huahua in my arms, thinking that if I saw a goose on the road, I would ask her to beat it.
The rogue goose saw me coming from a distance, and drooled with excitement all over the ground. It was so excited that it couldn’t even walk steadily. It didn’t hide the smug smile in its little eyes at all, and it spread its wings and flew towards me.

Others say that geese have poor eyesight, which is true. You know, whenever my Huahua goes out for a stroll, wild animals within 50 meters of it will stay away from it.
But when the goose rushed to me with drooling, mouth stretched out, wings spread, it realized something was wrong. When it saw Huahua, I still remember the goose’s expression, surprise, fear, panic, regret, pain…
I didn’t have time to remind Huahua, Huahua rushed down with anger…
Huahua’s attack speed was too fast, I didn’t react.
Anyway, I didn’t go to school that day, and dragged the dead goose back home by the neck. Mom and Dad knew that this goose was the one that twisted my neck, so they didn’t criticize me and Dahua. After compensating for the loss of other people’s geese, they called my brother-in-law to drink that night.
Of course, I asked for another goose leg. This time, Huahua didn’t need to remind me. I ate half of it, and then it ate the rest of it.
I don’t always want what Huahua catches. Once, it even dragged a snake home, which scared my mother. Dahua is very smart, and she no longer brings snakes home. It even caught a weasel…
People in the village said that my cat was a tiger and a good hunter. At that time, there were mice in the countryside, but there were no mice in my house.
Huahua is not a foodie. It catches things not just for food.
When I was in the first grade, I was still playful. Sometimes I would pick flowers and make a wreath to wear on my head. When Huahua saw me happy,
it would sometimes put flowers on my desk. I thought it was just curious, but later I found out that it was not.
Once I saw other children in the village catch cicadas, and I was very envious.
I followed behind my butt for a long time, but the little brother would not let me play. I squatted on the ground in the yard and watched them play. Huahua rubbed me with her tail.
It looked at me excitedly, biting a cicada gently in its mouth, and it was still fluttering in its mouth…
This big civet cat has been with me for 13 years, from the countryside to the county town, from the county town to the city, no matter where I go, I always leave the best place in my room for Huahua.
From the time I held it in kindergarten until I was a freshman in college, it accompanied me through the best years.
That winter vacation at home, Huahua followed me wherever I went. When I was reading, it turned around at my feet and whimpered softly. I knew it was leaving. I
gently held it on the desk, put its favorite blanket on it, and slowly stroked its hair. The hair was not as smooth and shiny as when it was young.
Huahua is old and aging. When it falls asleep, its lungs make a sound like a bellows. It doesn’t want to sleep and tries its best to open its eyes to see me…
It looks at me quietly, and my tears burst into my hands. Huahua is afraid that I will be sad, so she gently lies on the table and leans on me. Just hold me, then the eyes gradually become blurred, and finally gently close your eyes…
