When I was a child, I also raised a Chinese pastoral cat. I met many civet cats from relatives. They are very independent and lively. The advantages are that they are active, lively and smart, don’t worry, get sick less, and are easy to feed, but they are a little afraid of people and difficult to get close to. They like to bite and catch people when playing, and they like to meow. It may be a little noisy. (Not for all Chinese pastoral cats, of course, but for most of them.)
I have also raised a long-haired cat in the back. I have seen a friend’s British short-haired cat. I feel that I am good-tempered and good-behaved, but I am a bit wooden and disdainful. Anyone can hold and touch it, which is a bit lacking in the sense of accomplishment of a cat slave.
Having these two ancestors behind me, I found it really suits my temper. Both cats are not expensive, about 1000 yuan, but the real cats are worth it.
First of all, it’s good to feed. I have a really good appetite. People say orange fat man. I think we should add a beautiful fat man. The feed in the house is not a high-end brand (after all, two cats can eat too much), and occasionally they give canned food, dried fish and freeze-dried chicken. Just after opening the bag, two cats lined up in front of them. Haha, the cat litter is the most used now, because eating more and pulling more.
Then, it is not noisy. Not noisy is an advantage that many pet cats have, and American short-haired cats are no exception. Two kittens have been with me for more than a year, and basically they haven’t barked, except when they are in estrus or when they are very upset. I think it is very important for ordinary families with small rooms not to be noisy. After all, everyone has to go to work to study and sleep.
What’s more, it’s lively and playful. Lively and noisy are different. To sum up, one is naive and the other is annoying. Two cats, a male and a female, mix like brothers all day. It’s a pleasure to chase after each other and play with each other. When you are in a bad mood, you will forget everything when you see their carefree appearance.
There is also the recognition of the master, which is smarter and more human. I found that the cleverness and meekness of cats seem to be difficult to appear in the same breed. Maybe they are too smart to please their owners. But the character of American short-haired cats, like children, is lively and witty, and coquetry depends on it. But not as smart as civet cats, not as docile as English shorthair cats, but it’s enough for me.
Two days ago, I quarreled with my boyfriend and cried when I was sitting on the sofa. A cat saw that I was sad, tried to come over and rub my leg, meowed twice, and squatted next to me when I ignored her. In retrospect, it was enough to have them accompany me through a period of my life, warming each other and relying on each other.
