My ragdoll cat is called Yuanxiao.
I bought the cat from a cattery
on December 8th. It is now 4 months old and has just been home for a week.
At first, I was fascinated by ragdolls on Douyin. Considering the price, I went to my friend’s house and was so docile that I liked his American shorthair and white cat. I kept going to cat cafes in Shenzhen, Huizhou, Shaoguan and other places to pet cats and ask about cats. Unfortunately, cat cafes do not allow people to see kittens, and only say that they can be booked through videos. During this process of petting cats, my husband became hopelessly fascinated by ragdolls. Then, when he went to Huizhou to handle something, he randomly found a nearby cattery and went in. Unexpectedly, he bought Yuanxiao from my family. At that time, I didn’t understand the concept of cattery cats and pedigree cats. I thought the little ragdolls in the cages in the room were so cute that I had no idea which one to choose. To be honest, because the boss had to move the store to a new location, the cattery environment was not ideal. There was a strong smell, cockroaches, and a blue cat giving birth in the back room and a chinchilla with ringworm that had been plucked.
My husband picked a special little stuffed cat. It was so lively in the cage, but it would disappear as soon as it was released from the cage. It would also provoke the adult female cat in the cage, but it would suddenly become very docile when caught in the hand, and its eyes were particularly rebellious. I like the lighter-colored one, and my husband insisted on having Yuanxiao. Finally, when it was time to pay, the lighter-colored one defecated at the door. Seeing Yuanxiao’s father, he finally decided to take it. The cattery was in a hurry to move, so the price offered was relatively low, 4,000 yuan, and the total price of the various things I bought in the cattery was 4,880 yuan. This price was also the reason why I was tempted. After all, I am a migrant worker in Shenzhen, with car loans and mortgages, running between Huizhou and Shenzhen, and my financial situation is not very good.
Because it was a sudden decision, I didn’t know much about it. I bought it based on my impression. Yuanxiao is very obedient. It was very lively when it just got home. It didn’t show any stress or even loose stools. It was clingy and well-behaved. In the past few days, the temperature in Shenzhen has dropped, and it has started to love climbing on the sofa and bed. It purred when I touched it on the first day I got home, and it stepped on my milk when I got on the sofa these two days. Although it was a lot of burden to buy it, it was also very good to see that its fatigue disappeared instantly when I got home.
After I brought Yuanxiao home, I went to a familiar pet hospital for a comprehensive examination. Its tail had ringworm before. I was preparing for pregnancy, and I did almost all the items that could be checked. The pictures were taken before. The owner of the cat triple vaccine gave it two shots, but no feline plague antibodies were detected, so I had to start the cat triple vaccine again. There is a fungal infection in the ear, and I have a little cold and sneezing. The cattery owner gave it a nose drop for a week and it feels good. The ear hospital prescribed medicine to apply every day. Yuanxiao is very good and doesn’t resist at all. Sometimes I can fall asleep when I massage the ear. The cold is almost healed. I plan to get the cat triple vaccination today.
I don’t regret buying it at all. It’s really well behaved. Selling animals depends too much on fate. Appearance is only part of it. It is said that the fur color of a ragdoll will stabilize at the age of 2. I am a little worried about its current color. Hahaha, it must be so dark. Hahaha, it
