I have a ragdoll cat, more than one and a half years old, and already pregnant. She is about to become a mother, and plans to raise another one of her cubs after giving birth.
Let me talk about the shortcomings first:
1. It doesn’t look very smart, just silly and cute. Because I have raised a rural cat for many years before, it is easy to find out with comparison that rural cats are really smart. They can open sliding doors and doors with handles by themselves, drink dripping water, and understand some human words. But this ragdoll can’t do anything. It can only understand its own name and understand to eat. There is nothing else. It can only turn over its belly and ask for a pat.
2. There will be poop on the butt because the hair is too long. It is not soft stool, but normal poop. It can also stick to it when it is relatively small. So, she went from being able to freely enter my house to not being allowed to enter the bedroom and having to stay in the public area. As long as no one is at home, she is locked in the balcony (1.5 meters wide and 7 meters long, which is not unfair to her). Someone is at home and will let her in to move around after checking that her butt is clean. I often have to help her wash her butt.

3. Her hair is easy to tangle, or because her hair is too long, it needs to be combed frequently under the neck and armpits, otherwise it is easy to tangle.
4. She is picky about food. She loses her appetite after eating more than two bags of the same cat food. She needs to be coaxed to eat. She needs to change her taste frequently. She needs quail, freeze-dried food, and wet food. Another problem is that she has soft stools in the early stage of changing food, and it gets on her butt.
Okay, okay, the four disadvantages are already a lot, so why do I plan to raise another one?
Of course, the advantages are also very obvious. The first one is cuteness. It is really cute. It is super cute to kill outside.
Secondly, her character is very friendly. I have two preschool children at home. They feel no burden when they are with cats. They never stretch out their claws. They are very patient and friendly to children. Compared with the previous rural cats, this is a dimensionality reduction attack, a complete victory. So as long as you check that her butt and paws are clean, or I help her wash them, she can play with the children.
Finally, I want to raise another one because I have two children at home. They all rush to play with cats. The cat is too tired, so I raise another one to share the hard work. If you can have a cute and friendly kitten, the four shortcomings are nothing.
