Part 2 Can cat ear mites be passed on to humans?

Because I bought a leather sofa for my new house and was afraid of scratching it, and because the cat had loose stools, I would lock the cat in a cage at night or when we went out for the first month and a half of raising the cat. Fortunately, even though I had to wipe its butt and wash its paws, the cat did not hold a grudge. I

could kiss, hug, and lift it up high, and it would not resist or scratch me. On March 17, I found a few small red spots on my arm, which were a little itchy. I wondered if it was an allergy. I always searched Zhihu because of loose stools, and happened to know about ear mites. When my husband’s cousin came to feed the cat montmorillonite powder, I asked her to look at the cat’s ears, and there were indeed a lot of ear mites deep inside.

The next day, it became more serious. There were small spots all over my belly and thighs, and it was extremely itchy. I couldn’t help but scratch them. In addition, the hospital was closed, so I could only ask two doctors on the Dingxiang Doctor app. They diagnosed me with papular urticaria.

Combining the two doctors’ prescriptions, I applied mometasone furoate cream externally and took fretadine orally. The itching was relieved a lot on the day of taking the medicine, and it stopped itching completely after three or four days. However, many marks were left on the skin, which did not fade until autumn. I applied body lotion carefully every time I bathed the cat, hoping that it would be restored to its original state.

It is also a big problem to apply medicine to the cat’s ears. It is very repulsive to the smell of ear mite medicine, and it kicks wildly as soon as the bottle cap is opened. My husband and I wrapped the cat with a large towel, but we couldn’t control it. He couldn’t hold the cat down, and I couldn’t pick the ears. Both of us were anxious, and the more anxious we were, the worse our tone became. We were in a mess and had a small quarrel. Fortunately,after about a week, my cousin came to see the cat again and said that the ear mites were almost cured. After a few days, it was completely cured and there was no recurrence.

Part 3 After the scratching scars and

soft stools and ear mites were cured, I could finally give the cat a bath. I was afraid that the cat would be stressed, so I decided to bathe it at home. I really underestimated it, which was only 4.5 kg.

Cats react violently to water, and they peed and screamed when they were scared. When the hair dryer was turned on, it was even more terrible. It flew and dragged the hair dryer to the ground (ah, my newly bought hair dryer, heartbroken). When it scratched it, it scratched my husband. It was so painful that I cried.

The wound recovered two days later .

Part 4 Ringworm and minor blood

It’s ugly, but it’s better than a broken sofa.

I went to the hospital for an X-ray and blood draw, and nothing serious happened. The doctor said it was just scared.

A timid fat cat

After being neutered in August, it had diarrhea and all the mats in the cage were covered with feces. These are all small things. There is no smooth sailing in the road of raising cats.

Cats will communicate with you every day, meow meow, and go to the bed to occupy a good position at night. When you open the door and go home, they will wait like a puppy. They will lie down anywhere with their bellies open, allowing you to touch and hug them. They purr like a little train, and their fluffy little face is always so cute and healing.

I am very glad that I chose a ragdoll with a good personality. I will certainly not regret raising it!
