Our British shorthair cat Silly Dabao has seven babies in her belly.

Our Silly Dabao must have a name. Dabao is the oldest of the three little ones. The three-year-old old aunt brings the other two one-year-old children.

Dabao did not grow up with us. This summer, we bought a stuffed doll, Xiaokui, and the store sold it to Dabao half-sold and half-given it. At that time, Dabao was already pregnant. There were seven babies in her belly.

Because she was not raised from childhood, Dabao was actually very alienated from us at the beginning, and because she was pregnant, she couldn’t take a bath, so she couldn’t go to bed. Dabao slept in a cage every day. She didn’t make any noise or trouble, but it always made me and my girlfriend feel that I always owed Dabao.

Until one day, we found that Xiaokui had ringworm, and Dabao was about to give birth. In order to prevent Xiaokui’s ringworm from being transmitted to Dabao’s children, we had to send Xiaokui away first (the previous leopard cat Dove was fostered at my girlfriend’s mother’s house, and her story can be told in a branch). When Dabao was the only cat left at home, she seemed to realize something.

(Suddenly I felt like the head of the family, patrolling my territory)

After Dabao had children, her personality became very irritable, and she always protected the kittens, but because she was too heavy, there would always be one or two poor little ones under her buttocks.

After feeding seven kittens, she became like this, which made people feel inexplicably distressed. After the kittens ran out by themselves, she immediately got up and took them out. The kittens always used her tail as a cat teaser, and she was not angry.

However, when the children were sent away, Dabao’s stupidity was exposed.

Her photo with us was like this

and one day, we suddenly found that Dabao had wet the bed, and it was cloudy in Shanghai that day, so we could only use a hair dryer to dry the mattress like this

. We were so angry that we spanked Dabao’s buttocks, but later we found out that it was actually Dove who wet the bed (later, we found out that it was because Dabao was sent to take a bath, and Dove wet the bed in the same place again)

After Dove came back, she always wanted to fight with Dabao for the real initiative at home, but she was always defeated by Dabao. Dabao never took the initiative to bully Dove, but only passively fought back. Including the rag doll Xiaokui at home (now at the bottom of the food chain), she always treats Xiaokui as a child. The only time she did that was when Xiaokui wanted to hit Dabao, but Dabao fought back.

Actually, later on, I felt more and more that cats may really have different IQs, but if she is really willing to let you see her silly side, it must be that she really trusts you and likes you. A cat that grew up in a pet store actually understands people’s minds better and knows how to be favored by the owner. But I hope that Dabao can really treat us as her parents. We will always love Dabao, just like we love Doubao Dove and Xiaokui

(finally, here is a beautiful photo of Dabao and her beautiful baby)
