Doudou is a British shorthair kitten. He was just 7 months old when he came to our house. (1)

I wanted to get a British shorthair
because a British shorthair cat from a French town B&B
pushed the door open when we were sleeping.
I fought with it for a long time before I pushed it out.
At that time, I thought this kind of cat was very cute.
Later, when I happened to pass by a pet store,
a big British shorthair ran to me and stood up. I
was immediately struck by its cuteness.

Before deciding to get a cat,
I had a lot of struggles with Big Fat Bear.
On the one hand, I was worried that we would become less free after having a cat;
on the other hand, I was also worried that it would affect our own lives.
For a while, we kept looking up information online and weighing the pros and cons of getting a cat.
But after a comprehensive understanding, we knew how to avoid problems,
and we also hoped that our future baby could grow up with small animals
so that he could face the world with more love and kindness.
I always believe that
kindness is the most important quality of a person,
just like Big Fat Bear, who is the kindest boy I have ever met.

I saw this answer on Zhihu by chance:
“I can only answer this question with my own personal experience. The most important point is that they are absolutely harmless and do not have any scheming. They are pure and kind animals that can be trusted and relied on. This makes me feel happy and confident, and I will have a much higher evaluation of myself. Their liveliness and cuteness will also make my life richer and happier. No matter how frustrated or angry I am, I can quickly calm down in front of my cats.”
This answer moved me very much. I thought it would be a good thing to experience being responsible for a little life in advance.
So, we made this careful decision.

Doudou is a British shorthair kitten. He was just 7 months old when he came to our house.
Like all kittens, he was very nervous when he came to a strange environment. He shivered in the box and refused to come out.
After a while, driven by curiosity, he still showed his little head, looked around, and moved quietly. After
getting familiar with it, he explored the new home everywhere, jumping up and down.
She accidentally fell into the gap between the cabinet and the wall, with only two little feet kicking around outside. We grabbed her by the hind legs and pulled her out.
Before she arrived, we prepared everything she might need.
Big Fat Bear looked at various recommendations and tried his best to buy her the best things.
Imported cat food, cat cans, cat toys, and even the small basin for drinking water is an automatic fountain.
I want to take care of her as if she were a family member.
Looking at Big Fat Bear who was preparing carefully, I joked that
if you treat kittens like this, our baby will be spoiled by you in the future!

Doudou gradually became familiar with us,
and his trust in us grew day by day.
He began to become clingy and cute.
When I get home from work and open the door, I see her sitting at the door waiting obediently;
when she sits on the sofa and watches TV, she will climb on us, with her belly exposed and her legs up in the air, snoring peacefully;
we must accompany her to the toilet, lying on the ground and watching;
occasionally she will fart when passing by, so she was renamed Fart Bag;
when she hears the bell of the cat toy, she will run over like a blimp;
her favorite toy is a flax chicken with a small tail imported from Italy;
occasionally she likes to sit on the balcony to enjoy the scenery,
explore all the high grounds, and
sit on her favorite heart-shaped cushion.
Her arrival has brought a lot of fun to our lives,
but also a sense of responsibility,
to be responsible for a life.
